NFL Week 7 Picks Against the Spread

Another great weekend of NFL football lays ahead of us, with some exciting match ups on the schedule.  The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a tough day as they are on the road in Miami for a 1:00 EST match up with the Dolphins.  Washington travels to Chicago where McNabb will square off with the Bears in what promises to be an exciting NFC game.  New England and San Diego do battle in an afternoon game, as both look to improve their records.  The Sunday night game sees Brett Favre back in Green Bay as the Minnesota Vikings take on the Packers in the prime time spot light.  A great Monday Night football game on schedule for Week 7 as well.  Monday we will see a divisional rivalry as the New York Giants are in Dallas facing the disappointing Cowboys (The boys are 3.5 point favorites).  This NFL Week 7 promises to be exciting, and below I have listed my top NFL week 7 picks against the spread and over/under picks.  Be sure to check out our Sports Picks Blog for all NFL game previews and picks!

Week 7 NFL Betting Picks

Washington Redskins +3 – Bet it at -120 at

While the Bears started the season 3-0, they have cooled down a little bit losing 2 of their last three, including at home last week against Seattle.  McNabb and the Redskins have had their ups and downs this season, but are playing great as of late.  The Redskins are coming off wins against Green Bay and Philadelphia and a 3 point loss to a tough Indianapolis team last weekend.  McNabb’s home town is Chicago and he loves playing there – look for him to have a good game on Sunday.  Head to head the Redskins are 6-2 Against The Spread in their last 8 meetings, and the road team is 4-1 ATS.  Also take note that the Bears are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a home favorite.  The Redskins have a chance at the upset here on the road… take the points.

49ers/Panthers OVER 35.5 Points – Bet it at -105 at

If you’ve done your homework you know that these two teams can’t put up points in this NFL season, and might question me going with the over, but that is also reflected big time in the line.  There are two big reasons I like the over in this NFL Week 7 game between the 49ers and Panthers.  The San Fransisco offense has been up and down this season, but they are a pretty solid offense.  I look for them to put up at least 21 points against this weak Panthers defense this week.  The second reason for me liking the over is the fact that the Panthers are coming off of a bye week.  I pray to god their dismal offense has done some work in their two weeks of practice that will help them put at least a couple scores on the board.  The over is 11-2 in these two teams last 13 meetings, and 5-1 in their last 6 meetings in Carolina.  This game makes it over the set total.

New York Giants +3.5 – Bet it at -120 at

The Cowboys, who many had picked making it to the Super Bowl this season, have started 1-4 (which includes 0-2 at home).  Their division rival New York Giants have gotten off to a solid start to this NFL season going 4-2 in their first six games, with their losses coming to Indy and Tennessee.  I don’t think the Cowboys are down and out for this 2010 NFL season just yet, but I definitely will take 3.5 points on this Giants team who has fared well against Dallas.  The G men took both meetings against the Cowboys last season, where they were slight underdogs in both.  The Giants are 4-1 against the spread in these two teams last 5 meetings, and the Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Monday night games.  If the Cowboys win this game it will be by a fieldgoal or less in my opinion – a great spot to take the points on the Giants in the Week 7 Monday Night’er.
