Monday Night Football of Week 12 brings us the struggling Green Bay Packers as they head to the City of Brotherly Love, to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s been amazing watching the demise of the Packers in recent weeks, and it’s puzzling wondering how this season has gone into the gutter for them. They enter with a 4-6 record and it remains to be seen if they can get their campaign back on track. It won’t be easy going against an improved Eagles team with playoff aspirations of their own. Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz has been pretty solid all year, especially at home. This is a big-time tilt for Monday evening and read on below for a full game breakdown and betting pick, as we look to complete Week 12 on a high note.

Packers vs. Eagles Pick:
Much has been made of Aaron Rodgers’ perceived ‘struggles’ of late, but he’ll be fine and truly has not even been all that bad. Last week’s game featured a ton of wind, and look for Rodgers to be much better in calmer conditions on Monday evening. Philadelphia does not boast an impressive secondary, and it is a unit that Rodgers should be able to take advantage of. It’s also expected to be even worse for Monday night as Leodis McKelvin is slated to be out as well. Christine Michael is also expected to suit up for Green Bay, giving them a proper running game for the first time in weeks. This should work to alleviate some of the pressure off Rodgers and the passing game. Expect Green Bay to have very little trouble in moving the chains and putting up points. Remember, their offence hasn’t been the issue – their defence has. Look for an impressive outing from from this group, fully giving their team a shot to pick up a much-needed victory.
For the Eagles, they too will experience a wealth of success on the offensive side of things. Like themselves, Green Bay too has had a bunch of issues within their secondary. They’ve likely been even worse than Philadelphia. Kirk Cousins shredded this unit last week, and Carson Wentz and Jordan Matthews are both in line for some monster outings. Zach Ertz too remains a dominant tight end, a position the Packers have struggled to cover effectively. Green Bay also has some vulnerabilities in the run game. Blake Martinez has a knee injury and likely won’t be in the lineup, so look for the Eagles to also be able to gain positive yardage on the ground.
All in all, predicting a winning side in this contest seems a tad difficult. Both teams have shown a lot of inconsistency so far this season, and lots of points seems to be a much better play. The Eagles and Packers have explosive offences with defences littered with flaws. Those traits push this game to an ‘Over’ play and that’s just what we’ll do for Monday night. Expect Green Bay to put up big points on the Eagles’ secondary, and look for the Packers’ anaemic defence to do nothing once again. Expect a high-scoring shootout from Philly on Monday night.
PICK = Over 48 (-110)
