Rams Broncos Line Spread and Betting Picks NFL Week 12

Mile High Stadium will be the location of this game as the Broncos will play host to the Rams. The Rams are in the thick of a playoff race has to be in love with what they have gotten out of rookie QB Sam Bradford this season. Bradford has looked poised beyond his years thus far and has looked like the franchise QB the Rams could lean on for the next 10 years. The Broncos are still looking to win now and Kyle Orton is going to come very close to hitting the mark for most passing yards in a season. While Denver may not have much to play for in the surprisingly competitive AFC West they have not yet given up on the season. This game clearly means more to the Rams, but don’t expect the Broncos to lie down at home. Game is set to start 4:15 PM EST.

The Rams have looked a lot better than many people assumed they would look through 11 weeks of the season and a big part of that is Sam Bradford and the play of their offensive line. The Rams are in the thick of a division race and the best way for them to continue to win is to put the ball in Bradford’s hand. He is clearly capable of making good decisions and moving the offense and that’s what they must continue to do. The Broncos are terrible at stopping the run 31st in the league so Steven Jackson could have a huge day. The Rams may only be 27th in total offense, but they have been more efficient this season than in seasons past. The Rams do a great job on defense of not allowing a lot of points to be scored, allowing 9th fewest in the league. The Rams won’t have to worry about the run in this game because Denver has no running game ranking dead last. The Broncos can beat them by throwing the ball and containing WR Brandon Lloyd will almost certainly be a problem.

The Broncos have to stick to what they do best and not try and get fancy in this game. The Broncos need to throw the football, they clearly aren’t a running football team and as long as they stay true to that this game can be won. Turnovers have to be held to a minimum in this game because the Rams probably won’t commit many and the winner of the turnover battle will definitely win this game. Denver is not very good on defense at all and will struggle on that side of the ball, which is a reason some of the games they have been in are so high scoring. Denver’s defense has to get off the field and allow Kyle Orton to throw for lots of yardage and hopefully some touchdowns. Orton needs to have a big day for Denver to win this game.

Rams vs Broncos Prediction for Week Twelve Betting:

Spread Prediction (Top Play): The Rams just do not win on the road. I think if this game was at home, you would have to take the Rams, but traveling to Denver isn’t easy. Many players complain about how hard it is to breathe in that altitude and that will probably be an issue for the Rams as well, especially Bradford not knowing what to expect as a rookie going into that environment. Denver has great home field advantage and their games always sellout no matter how well the team is doing. St Louis is 7-3 ATS and Denver is only 3-7 ATS. I think that the Rams will take care of the ball on the road and the lack of a defense will hurt the Broncos here and keep it close.

Prediction: Rams +4

Game Total Prediction: Neither of these teams have potent scoring offenses or potent offenses at all. There isn’t a lot to like here points wise. I think points will be at a premium especially since the Rams defense is good at not allowing many points. The Broncos allow lots of points, but I don’t get the sense that the Rams will look to score a lot instead they will prefer to get a lead and grind it out on the ground late instead of staying aggressive. For the Rams they are 4-6 favoring the Under in their games. Denver is 6-4 favoring the Over in their games, but since I’m picking the Rams to win here, I like the Under.

Prediction: Under 44.5
