Rams vs. Seahawks Pick:
For as good as Russell Wilson is, I think this game is going to be awfully tough for him. The Rams can and will generate a ton of pressure on the elusive QB, and should be able to get in his grill quite a bit. His offensive line is depleted and the trio of Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers, and Robert Quinn should all have some big moments come Sunday afternoon. This is going to force Wilson into a ton of scrambles and running all over the place simply to evade the heavy pressure. He isn’t overly mistake-prone, but don’t be surprised if we see some errors due to the Rams’ rushes and blitzes.
Kayvon Webster is unfortunately out for Los Angeles which could open things downfield. The corner was playing at a Pro Bowl level in 2017, and his absence could mean some holes could exist in the Rams’ defensive backfield. L.A. is overall a very solid defensive group, but this omission could loom large on Sunday.
On the other side of the ball, look for the Rams to be able to take full advantage of a Seahawks defense that is supremely depleted at the moment. Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright are two very important linebackers that will be out injured, and when you add in the fact they’re already without Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman – you have to wonder who is going to step up and make stops. Last week, the Seahawks looked lost without this talented quartet against the Jaguars, and Jared Goff should be able to heavily exploit this behind great protection. Robert Woods is expected back in the mix for the Rams at wideout, and I think the Rams will be able to put up some big points on the Seahawks in this one.
With the Seahawks entering this game so depleted, and the Rams getting key bodies back and entering fully healthy – L.A. seems like the team that should be favoured here. The Seahawks are a shell of their former selves defensively, and look for Goff and the upstart Rams to take full advantage on Sunday. This is Los Angeles’ division to lose now, and they’ll make that apparent here in Week 15.
PICK = Rams +1 (-110)
