A divisional showdown with nothing but pride on the line features the Week 12 edition of Monday Night Football. Surely this match-up would have been more intriguing had Johnny ‘Football’ Manziel been under centre for the Browns, but his lying and partying ways have derailed his NFL starter chances, for now at least. On the other side of the field, we’ve got the Baltimore Ravens whose title aspirations have evaporated quickly this season. A rash of awful injuries and gut-wrenching losses early in the season have made this a season to forget for John Harbaugh and the usually successful Ravens organization. It’ll be Matt Schaub in for Joe Flacco and with Justin Forsett out injured, Javorius (Buck) Allen will fill the void. It’s not the ideal Monday nighter, but with fantasy playoffs looming and the ability to bet on this game – it’s still a money-making opportunity! Read on below for a full game breakdown and an official selection for Week 12’s Monday Night Football match-up.

Ravens vs. Browns Pick:
With Johnny Manziel being relegated back to the bench, it’s Josh McCown time once more for the Browns. And if you’re planning on betting on this team – that’s likely a good thing. McCown has proven this year that’s he is the better quarterback right now, and despite the fact that the Browns really struggle in the run game, Cleveland should and likely will have loads of success through the air. Baltimore really struggles defending wide receivers, so look for that McCown-to-Travis Benjamin connection to really heat up under the lights here in Week 12.
On the other side, Matt Schaub is starting for the banged-up Ravens. Yes, that Matt Schaub. The veteran is pretty washed up now and will likely be a shell of his former self on Monday evening. Even with some of the injuries within Cleveland’s secondary, Schaub isn’t nearly good enough to exploit these absences. Schaub just isn’t good and neither are the remaining receivers at his disposal. The Ravens’ wideout corps was thin back in training camp, and now with injuries factored in, it looks like a NCAA team. Kamar Aiken is their top ‘threat’ and he won’t be able to move the chains alone on Monday evening.
The Ravens are simply decimated. Physically and emotionally. These injuries have really taken a toll, and they’re truthfully on their second/third stringers at many key positions. The Browns aren’t exactly world beaters themselves, but they’re the better team right now and will play hard in front of their home crowd on a nationally televised, standalone clash against their division rivals from Baltimore. Josh McCown is by all accounts a popular guy in that Cleveland locker room, and is a well-respected veteran. The players around him should be fired up to play for him after getting the starting gig back and Cleveland should ride this momentum to a one-score victory. Roll with the Browns to close out Week 12.
PICK = Browns -3.5 (-115)
