Saints Ravens Spread Line and Predictions NFL Week 15

The Baltimore Ravens have a huge test this week and face their biggest game of the season thus far. They’ve played the Steelers twice already which is always the focal point of their regular season, but this week’s match vs. the Saints is perhaps more important than the Steelers games. We know that the Ravens will give everything they have against the Steelers every time they play them, and we know how important those games are to their divisional standing. However, for Baltimore to truly be considered a contender they must beat the defending Super Bowl champs at home this week. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EST.

The Ravens sit second in the AFC North and are fighting for a wildcard spot. The sit 1 game behind the Steelers, but it looks unlikely that Pittsburgh will give up their number 1 spot with a very favorable end of season schedule. They play the Jets this week, and then face the 1-12 Panthers and then the Browns to finish the year. Baltimore must win out to get a wildcard spot and hopefully put enough pressure on Pitt. But Baltimore’s play this year has been uninspiring to say the least. When they’ve needed a big win they’ve come up short, losing to Atlanta, New England, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. They’ve also escaped with narrow OT victories over Buffalo, and Houston last Monday night. At 9-4, the Ravens aren’t as good as their record indicates, and they’ll be up against it this week against a Saints team that has won the quietest 10 games of the year.

The Saints have won 6 straight, not having dropped a game since their week 7 loss to the Browns. They’ve scored more than 30 points in 5 of those 6 wins and are doing it impressively without a running game. They’ve only gone over 100 yards in only 1 of those last 6 games, and don’t expect much more from then against a very stout Ravens run defense this week. But the Saints defense has been one of the best in the league this year, ranking in the top 6 in pass yards, total yards and points allowed. The Ravens offense has been stagnant and they have no running game, but unlike the Saints, they haven’t been able to lean as heavily on the passing game, as they’ve been less than average when facing a top 10 defense. This week’s match will let us know whether the Ravens are contenders or pretenders.

Saints vs. Ravens Prediction for Week 15 Betting:

Spread Prediction (Top Play): This is the time of year where the playoff teams separate themselves from the non playoff teams. Both the Saints and Ravens sit second in their division, but by looking at both teams you see one has more confidence than the other. The Saints are still the class of the NFC, and even though the Falcons are impressing many by their impressive string of wins, New Orleans have built one of the best teams over the last few years, and the Ravens would be happy to have what the Saints have. Baltimore were forced to OT last week against the Texans. They’ll have to play a lot better to have a chance this week. But I like the Saints at this time of year against a Ravens team that haven’t quite found themselves yet, and have played poor against the good teams in the league. The Saints are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, and I like that to continue this week.

Top Play Prediction (Top Play) = Saints +1.5.

Game Total Prediction: This is a low number for a Saints game, but it makes sense given the Ravens top 10 defense and below average offense. I don’t expect the Ravens to slow down New Orleans by any means, but I think Baltimore will have to throw to keep up. One stat that sticks out to me is the Under is 6-0-1 in the Ravens last 7 after they’ve scored more than 30 points in their previous game. I like this to continue this week in a close low scoring game.

Game Total Prediction = Under 43.5
