Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams – November 15

Seattle (6-2) at LA Rams (5-3)

Series

The Seahawks lead the all time series 24-19, but the Rams have won four of the last five and seven of the last 10. Seattle won 10 in a row from 2005-2009. In the last meeting, Rams quarterback Jared Goff threw two touchdown passes as Los Angeles defeated the Seahawks, 28-12, in Memorial Coliseum last December.

Streaks

The Rams have struggled offensively in losing two of their last three games after a 4-0 start. Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is a key player to watch as he has a touchdown catch in three of his last four games against Seattle.

The Seahawks have lost two out of three after their 5-0 start as they have given up 108 points in those three games. Wide receiver David Moore and running back Deejay Dallas look for their third consecutive game with a touchdown.

Seattle is 5-3 ATS while the Rams check in at 4-4, Seattle is 1-4 against Los Angeles in the last five. The total has gone over in seven of the Seahawks’ last nine games and they are 1-5 SU vs. the Rams in the last six matchups.

Last week

The Seahawks’ pass defense was torched by Bills quarterback Josh Allen to the tune of 415 yards as they lost 44-34 to Buffalo. Seattle committed the unpardonable sin with this defense as it turned the ball over four times. Russell Wilson threw for 390 yards, but was picked off twice.

The Rams come off the bye week after taking a 28-17 defeat in Miami. That was the Rams’ fourth game on the east coast this season, but their first loss. Quarterback Jared Goff threw for 355 yards as the Rams outgunned Miami, 471-175, but game up a defensive touchdown and a special teams score.

Hawk Talk

Seattle Seahawks LogoThe Seahawks defense is front row and center of all the chatter across the league, but coach Pete Carroll needs to get safety Jamal Adams and left corner back Shaquill Griffin back from injuries. If Benson Mayowa comes back at 100 percent he and the newly acquired Carlos Dunlap have strong potential as rush ends. The unit gives up 362 yards passing per game and allows a completion percentage of 69.4 percent. The defensive unit is still young and learning although at some point this season, it is expected that they move forward.

Ram-blings

Los Angeles Rams LogoThe Rams and Seahawks stop the run equally well. It’s going to be potentially the Jared Goff show as the Rams will work the field with Robert Woods, Josh Reynolds, and Cooper Kupp, who leads the team with 71 targets. Defensively, cornerback Jalen Ramsey is currently questionable and will be needed against ‘Hawks wide out D.K. Metcalf, who averages 18.3 yards per reception with eight touchdowns.
