The NFL is set up with another action packed Sunday this week. Twelve games are up on the board throughout Sunday. One of these games will be between the Seattle Seahawks and the Buffalo Bills. These two teams have had great starts to the season and will look for a big win on Sunday afternoon. This game will kick off at around 1:00 PM Eastern time on Sunday.
Seattle has earned a record of 6-1 throughout this season, which has them in first place of the NFC West. The Seahawks have looked really good throughout this season, but have not been the best on defense. Seattle will look to keep their strong start going though as they visit the Bills on Sunday. I expect a great matchup as both teams look to prove themselves with a win.
The Bills have put up a record of 6-2 throughout this season, which has them in first place of the AFC East. Buffalo will look to keep their two game winning streak going as they go against an NFC powerhouse. The Bills have been a bit inconsistent this season, which has been an issue for them. If Buffalo can come out strong in this one though, it will prove their legitimacy as an AFC Contender.
These two teams have both earned strong records to open up the new season. The Seahawks have one less loss on the season, but have already had their bye week. Buffalo will look to come out hot at home in this one. Both teams are coming off a win last week and will look to carry that momentum into Week 9 of the season.
The Seahawks faced off against the San Francisco 49ers last week in Seattle. Nick Mullens threw two touchdowns, but it was not enough for the 49ers. Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes to D.K. Metcalf and four touchdown passes total. DeeJay Dallas had a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown to help the Seahawks secure a 37-27 win.
Buffalo met up with the New England Patriots last week. Cam Newton and Damien Harris both rushed for a touchdown, but it was not enough. Zack Moss rushed for two touchdowns, while Josh Allen rushed for another touchdown. Tyler Bass kicked a go ahead field goal late in the fourth. The Patriots had a late drive to potentially tie it, but a fumble ruined New England’s comeback hopes. The Bills won 24-21.
Both the Seahawks and the Bills are coming off wins against division rivals last week. This should help them come into this one with momentum. I expect Seattle and Buffalo to come out in this one with something to prove. The Bills were on the ropes in their last game, while the Seahawks almost allowed a late comeback of their own. Both teams will look to dominate early in this one.
Seattle has Russell Wilson starting at Quarterback for them. Wilson has had an MVP caliber season to open up the campaign. Wilson has thrown for 2151 yards, 26 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Wilson has rushed for another 260 yards. Last week Wilson went 27-37 for 261 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions in the win.
The Bills have Josh Allen starting under center in this one. Allen has had a strong 2020 season so far. He has thrown for 2172 yards, 16 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on the season. Allen has rushed for another 227 yards and 4 touchdowns. Allen went 11-18 for 154 yards and an interception last week. He did run for 23 yards and a touchdown though.
These two Quarterbacks have had good seasons so far. Wilson has done better on the season, throwing for an extra 10 touchdowns. The Seahawks passing game has been lethal this season with Wilson under center and Buffalo’s defense will need to find a way to slow it down in this one. I expect both Quarterbacks to look to hit their throws early to lead their team to a win.
Offense vs Defense
Seattle’s offense has been one of the best throughout this season. The Seahawks have been able to average 34 points throughout this season, which is best in the NFL. Seattle has also gained an average of 414 yards which is 3rd in the league. The Seahawks have allowed an average 28 points and 461 yards, which is 24th and 32nd in the NFL. Seattle will need their defense to step up in this one.
The Bills have been around middle of the league on offense and defense. Buffalo has averaged 25 points and 372 yards on offense, which is 19th and 13th in the league. The Bills have allowed 25 points per game as well, which is 14th in the NFL. Buffalo is allowing an average of 358 yards, which is 16th in the league in the league this season. The Bills will look to take advantage of Seattle’s defense at home.
The Bills offense will have a chance to have a great performance on Sunday as they face off against Seattle’s defense, which is bottom ranked. Buffalo’s defense will need to step up though if they want to slow down the Seahawks lethal offense. Seattle has been torching defenses and the Bills will need to use home field to their advantage to try and stop them.
Seattle has put up the better record on the season, but will have a tough test as they play a well balanced Bills team. Buffalo can take control on the offensive side against the Seahawks defense. If the Bills can slow down Russell Wilson at home, I believe it will give them a great chance to earn a win in this one. The Bills will need Josh Allen to step up after struggling a bit against New England last week.
BetOnline has Seattle listed as a -162 against the money line in this one. This implies that the Seahawks will win this game around 61.8 percent of the time. I believe that this line is a bit too big for two teams with six wins. Seattle has been more impressive this season, but the Bills are at home and I believe they have a chance to earn a win on Sunday afternoon.
