A big NFC showdown takes place during the 4:00 hour of Week 12 as the red-hot Seattle Seahawks head across the country to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs enter with a 5-5 record and despite some inconsistencies this year, they remain firmly in the hunt in the NFC playoff picture. The Seahawks on the other hand have finally figured out their issues, and seem to be clicking on all cylinders. This is an elite team, and one that is currently the likely representative for the NFC in the Super Bowl game. Russell Wilson looks to be healthy once again, and there looks to be no stopping Seattle. Can the Bucs hold them off? Read on below for a full game breakdown and an official betting selection for Seahawks/Buccaneers.

Seahawks vs. Buccaneers Pick:
Timing really is everything in professional sports. Tampa Bay surely would have wanted to take on the Seahawks much earlier in the season, when they were struggling. But yet, here we are. Wilson is healthy again for Seattle at the quarterback position, and even though the Bucs have looked better of late, there may not be a team in football that can match the Seahawks right now.
Expect Russell Wilson and the Seahawks to just obliterate Tampa Bay’s awful secondary. It truly is one of the worst units in the entire league, and Seattle should move the football at will on Sunday. They’ve got the worst safeties in the NFL and look for some big outings from the Seahawks’ receivers. Plus, now that Wilson is back and healthy, he’s a legitimate dual-threat guy again. He can move the chains with his feet now and opposing defences must respect this. So far, this has only made him more lethal downfield. Within the run game, the Bucs might have some success stopping them in the ground game, but don’t expect Seattle to turn that much to Thomas Rawls in this one. Their passing attack is their ticket to victory against the Bucs.
On defence, the Seahawks are slated to be without Earl Thomas against Tampa Bay. While he is a talented safety, it’s definitely good that they have Kam Chancellor back in the fold. Even without Thomas though, this Seahawks’ stop unit is still excellent. There is also the issue of the fact that Jameis Winston likely won’t be able to take advantage of the Earl Thomas absence. In the past, he has struggled when defences are able to take away Mike Evans from the Bucs’ offense and that’s exactly what will happen on Sunday. Richard Sherman will be able to completely blanket Evans, leaving Winston with little to no options downfield. Even on the ground, nothing will come easy for Tampa Bay. Doug Martin is back but he’ll be wishing he stayed out injured when it comes to playing Seattle. The Seahawks’ defensive front doesn’t have many holes to exploit, and Martin isn’t at his best right now.
Seattle enters the hottest team in the league and they will leave Tampa Bay as that as well. Seattle is impressively 18-3 against the number in Week 11 or later since Wilson’s sophomore season, as they tend to just dominate down the stretch. Look for more of the same on Sunday in yet another Seahawks rout.
PICK = Seahawks -5.5 (-110)
