In a rematch of a game earlier this season, one of the NFC Wild-Card clashes will feature the Seattle Seahawks travelling to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.
Neither side entered the playoffs feeling particularly solid about their respective games, but that is the beauty of the post-season – all slates are now wiped clean. The Eagles limped to the NFC East title, in a division that nobody seemed to want to win.
For Seattle, they had a shot at first-place and homefield throughout the NFC, but lost to a better San Francisco team last Sunday evening. The Seahawks do have a stellar 12-4 record, but a ton of their underlying figures are less than inspiring. They also haven’t been great in some time, though it does remain to be seen if they can take advantage of an equally suspect Eagles squad.
One of these teams will advance come Sunday evening, though given the current form of both, this one sure is intriguing and truly can go either way. Keep reading on below the odds for further game analysis and a detailed betting prediction for the Eagles and Seahawks on Sunday night.
Seahawks vs. Eagles Betting Odds:

Seahawks vs. Eagles Pick:
The first time these two teams faced off against one another, the Seahawks had a tough time at moving the chains. Seattle did pull out a victory, but Russell Wilson struggled with the conditions and in connecting with his receivers.
That likely will not be the case this week, with the stakes much larger. Russell Wilson’s passing attack has only become more lethal, as was seen Sunday night when they staged a nearly remarkable comeback against the 49ers. D.K. Metcalf is emerging as one of the premier scorers in the game, and nobody on the Eagles’ defense will be able to stop him.
On the ground, although Chris Carson is out injured for Seattle, Marshawn Lynch was coaxed out of semi-retirement to return to his Seahawks. Lynch has unfinished business with the team, and looked surprisingly effective last week against a tough San Francisco team. He should be a positive force on Sunday against Philly.
Through the air is where Seattle should really hold a decisive advantage. The Eagles’ defensive backfield remains a mess, and if Wilson can evade the initial pressure – Philadelphia could be in trouble.
The Seahawks’ pass rush can be intense, and with Johnson out combined with the recent loss of Brandon Brooks – it remains to be seen if Wentz can stay upright. Downfield, Wentz is expected to be without many key players in running back Miles Sanders, star tight end Zach Ertz, and speedy wideouts DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery. The Eagles are certainly wounded, and it will be interesting to see how they can move the chains on Seattle.
With all of Philly’s injuries, I’d definitely urge bettors to take a detailed look at the final injury report Sunday afternoon. Seattle is better at the moment, and certainly healthier. They have more ways to win, and the Seahawks’ elite pass rush should put the Eagles under heavy duress throughout. Lean Seattle in what should be a closely contested matchup.
