Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns NFL Pick – Week 8

The NFL is set up with another great week of football throughout Week 8. Thirteen games will be up on the board throughout Sunday. One of these matchups will be between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns. These two teams have been solid this week and will look for a big win in this matchup. This game will kick off at around 1:00 PM Eastern time.

Pittsburgh has earned a record of 3-3 to open up this season, which has them in last place of the AFC North. The Steelers are coming off their bye week last week. Pittsburgh was able to earn big wins against the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks though before their bye. Now the Steelers will look to carry that momentum into this matchup.

The Browns have put up a record of 4-3 to start out this season, which has them in third place of the AFC North. Cleveland is coming off a much needed win against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football last week. The Browns were filled with injuries, but were able to pull away with a 17-14 win. Cleveland will now turn their attention towards their big rivals.

These two teams have been solid to start out the season, but will need a big win in this one. The AFC North is very competitive right now, which makes these games all the more important. Both teams had some extra time to prepare for this week and will look to get it going early on Sunday. If either team can control the pace of play, it could be enough to give them the win.

Steelers vs. Browns NFL Game Preview

The Steelers and Browns met up three times throughout last season. Pittsburgh dominated the first game of the season at home with a 38-7 win. Cleveland tied up the regular season series with a 24-22 win at home. These two teams then met up in Pittsburgh for the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The Browns were able to pull off a big 48-37 win for their first postseason win in years.

These two teams have met up 139 times throughout their histories. Pittsburgh has earned a record of 77-61-1 in the all-time series. Cleveland has won the last two matchups throughout last season. The Browns will look to keep it going in this one. The Steelers will look for some revenge after that postseason loss though.

With these two teams being in the same division, they already have a really good feel for each other. The Browns have been the stronger team so far this season, but Baker Mayfield is still questionable for Sunday’s tilt. I expect Mayfield to end up getting the start, but the question will be if he is going to struggle while playing injured.

Opening Odds and Line Movement

Cleveland is listed as a -3 ½ against the spread a couple of days before kickoff. The Browns opened up the week listed at -3 against the spread.

The over/ under for this matchup opened up at 44 points. The total has dropped down to 42 points only a couple of days before kickoff. This line makes sense with both defenses playing well early in the season.

The spread having the Browns as solid favorites in this matchup makes sense. Cleveland has shown more promise early in the season, but will need to prove themselves on Sunday.

Free Bet and Game Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers +3 ½ (-108)

These two teams have had solid starts to the season, but will look for a big win on Sunday afternoon. Pittsburgh is coming off a bye week and will look to use that to their advantage against a beat up Cleveland offense. Nick Chubb and Baker Mayfield will likely be back in the lineup, but if they come out a bit slow, the Steelers could take advantage.

The Steelers have not seen the best start from Ben Roethlisberger and will look for him to step up in this one. Roethlisberger has thrown for 1515 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions. Baker Mayfield has not had the best start to this season either. Mayfield has 1474 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.

These two teams will look to prove they are still competitors with wins on Sunday. Mayfield has had a bit of a slow start and coming off injury, I think he could struggle against this defense. Pittsburgh is coming off a bye and have some extra emotion in this game after losing to the Browns in the playoffs. I expect the Steelers to keep this game close on Sunday.

The Bet
Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5
