The 3-5 Vikings will travel to Chicago and look to win on the road and continue their fight to an NFC North divisional win. This being a divisional game can be expected to be a very intense and physical matchup. Both teams realize how important this game is especially since there is only a 2 game lead on the division. As for the Vikings, Brett Favre just won’t go away as evidenced from the play he made last week to win the game for the Vikings and looks as if he is fully prepared to put it all on the line for a win this week. Jay Cutler and the Bears are still right in the middle of the divisional race and really could use a win this week over a division opponent to then make up some ground on the Packers. There will be many headlines going into this game as the case with many divisional games. Game is set to start Sunday at 1:00 PM EST.
The Vikings are heading into this game with a little bit more confidence and swagger then they had before last week. The win over the Cardinals was huge for this team which I believe forgot how to win games. I think they now remember and it applies to their whole team. Jared Allen is finally starting to come on and had a big game against the Cardinals along with his other defensive end Ray Edwards, Brett Favre is making the throws that he was making last season and Adrian Peterson is running as angry as ever and that has to make Viking fans very happy. The Bears, however pose a huge matchup to them because their defense has been stifling this season and hasn’t given up the big plays. The game will be exciting and hopefully for them and their playoff hopes, they can steal one.
The Bears should win this game, but I think that their inability to protect Cutler will be his downfall. If they can protect Cutler they have a huge chance to beat the Vikings because their pass defense is weak and the Vikings run defense hasn’t been as good as years pass so if the Bears want to they can try to run the ball a little. The Bears defense will probably have to win this game for the Bears by pressuring Favre into making big time mistakes and by shutting down the running game of Adrian Peterson which will not be easy, but with Urlacher in the middle of their defense they have a pretty good shot. Special teams could potentially play a huge factor especially if they decide to punt to Devin Hester which is always a stupid thing to do. This game will likely come down to the play the Bears do or don’t make at the end.

Vikings vs Bears Prediction for Week Ten Betting:
Game Total (Top Play): Neither of these teams have been particularly sharp on offense this season and both teams have pretty good defenses, however the offensive talent is there for both teams. The Vikings have Adrian Peterson to shoulder the load if all else fails and everyone knows he is capable of just exploding for a 200 yard game at any moment, Brett Favre is no slouch as a quarterback ever and what he has been able to do at his age in his condition is nothing short of incredible. Jay Cutler and Forte are trying to get this offense going as well, Cutler can make all the throws he just needs a little time to go through his progressions and hasn’t had that time because his line has been giving up sacks at a ridiculous rate, and Forte has lacked anything in the running game. I haven’t seen enough consistency to justify the Over.
Prediction: Under 40.5
Spread Prediction: I love the Vikings in this matchup because the talent is clearly there for them to win this matchup. I understand that they are 2-6 ATS, but the Bears are only 3-4-1 which isn’t much better. There are a lot of things to love about the Bears and the most important thing is that they are playing at home and their defense has been playing very well, however the defense of the Vikings looks to have picked up some swagger and the offense is starting to show a pulse. I think the Vikings will realize that despite all the controversy surrounding their head coach they still want to win and win a Super Bowl for Brett and let him go out on top. I think the sense of urgency is higher for the Vikings.
Prediction: Vikings -1.5
