Flyers vs Bruins Game 7 Odds Picks and Predictions

Tonight, Friday May 14th, the Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins will square off in Boston for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.  The Boston Bruins took a commanding 3-0 lead in the best of 7 series, with two home ice wins and a controlling 4-1 win in game three in Philadelphia.  Many thought the series was over, but the Flyers went on to win game 4 in overtime and then shutout Boston at home 4-0 before winning game 6 back at home on Wednesday night.  The Philadelphia Flyers could make history with a game 7 win tonight in Boston, as only two NHL teams have come back from being down 3-0 in a best of 7 series to win it (the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs and the 1975 New York Islanders were the only two teams to do it).  Both the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers were longshots for even making the Conference finals, but now both teams have a shot at home ice advantage, as the eighth place Montreal Canadiens pulled off two amazing upsets to lock up a place in this years Eastern Conference championship.  Can the Bruins finally get their game together or will the Flyers make history?  Either way this Flyers vs Bruins Game 7 promises to be a good one!  Don’t miss out betting on the game, the betting odds, picks and my predictions are listed below.

Flyers vs Bruins Game 7 Picks and Predictions:

Money Line -There is no doubt that the home ice advantage plays a big role in game 7’s, even though the Montreal Canadiens were able to knock off the defending Stanley Cup champions in the Pittsburgh Penguins on the road Wednesday.  The Bruins have won 7 of their last 8 games at home, while the Flyers are just 5-12 in their last 17 road games.  Looking at the goalie match up you have to give the edge to the Bruins, as Flyers tender Michael Leighton has only started one playoff game this postseason (game 6).  The Flyers don’t do well as an underdog as they are 3-8 in their last 11 games as an underdog, while Boston is 7-1 in their last 8 games as a favorite.  This series has been a tough one to call, and tonight will be no different, but you have to go with the goaltending and home ice adnvatage.  BET THE BRUINS TO WIN AT -119.

Game Total – The total has been set at 5 once again, making it 6 of the 7 games in this series.  So far we have seen it go over twice, under five once, and pushed twice.  In games played in Boston there has been totals of 4, 5 and 9 goals and in games where the Flyers have been facing elimination we have seen totals of 3, 4 and 9.  I have this as a 3-2 type game, but I have the lean towards the over, especially with the chance of there being an empty net in a tight game.  BET THE OVER 5 GOALS AT -110.
