Flyers vs Canadiens Game 3 Odds, Picks and Prediction

The Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens square off in an important game 3 of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals tonight (May 20th) at the Bell Centre in Montreal – Game time is set for 7:00 PM EST.  The Flyers can put a strangle hold on the series with a win here tonight, as they lead the best of seven series 2-0 after two home wins, where the Canadiens didn’t manage to score a goal.  The Montreal Canadiens have different plans as they look to win the first of their two home games to hop right back into the series.  As Habs goalie Jaroslav Halak was the talk in the first two rounds, the Flyers tender Michael Leighton has been all of the talk in this conference finals, as he has shutout the Canadiens in both of the first two games, and hasn’t loss a game since taking over the starting role due to injuries in game 6 of the second round.  Montreal knows they need to get more traffic in front of Leighton and need to create better scoring opportunities if they want to beat the hot goaltender.  Tonight’s game can easily be the deciding factor of this conference final series with the Montreal needing a win – it promises to be a good one!  Below I have listed the Flyers vs Canadiens Game 3 betting odds, as well as my personal betting picks and predictions for the game.  I was a perfect 2 for 2 in game 2 of the series taking Philly and the under, and look to get back at it tonight with winners again.

Flyers vs Canadiens Game 3 Picks and Predictions:

Money Line Pick – I am a perfect 2 for 2 in this series, taking the Flyers to win both games at home to open the series.  The Canadiens return home today and are desperate for a win.  We know the Bell Centre will be full of energy and that should be enough to pick up Halak and the rest of the Canadiens, who definitely aren’t as bad as the scores have indicated so far in the series.  These two teams match up well, and the Canadiens should be able to win one, if not both games in Montreal in front of the home crowd.  The Flyers are 4-9 in their last 13 games as a road underdog.  BET THE CANADIENS TO WIN at -118.

Game Total Pick – Again I am a perfect 2 for 2 with the over/under this series starting with the over in game one and taking the under in game two.  The total has been set at 5 for the first two games, and that is what we have it at again tonight for game 3.  In order for the Canadiens to win they will need Halak to return to his form.  Being back in front of the Bell Centre crowd will help Halak and I expect him to have a solid game tonight in game 3.  I also look for Leighton to continue to be good tonight, and am looking at a 2-1, 3-1, 3-2 type of game with the Habs coming out on top.  BET THE UNDER at +109.
