You have to like the evening racing option at Charles Town. After playing Sam Houston Race Park, we’re going to West Virginia for the Charles Town card.

There isn’t anything that looks appealing at Aqueduct or Fair Grounds on the Thursday Card. Charles Town has nine races worth $192,600 on Thursday night in West Virginia.

Post Time: 8:25 p.m. EST

The fourth event at Charles Town is a $27,000 event covering 7 furlongs. Coach Rube and Grace Elizabeth should have a strong presence in this assignment.

Coach Rube is 6 for 22 in her career and has a chance at a win under the lights tonight. She has some stakes experience and rates a threat on these terms.

In her last three attempts, Coach Rube has finished 5th, 2nd, 2nd in three outings. She has placed 2nd in back-to-back attempts going into tonight.

In her last two assignments, Coach Rube placed 2nd behind Captain Sam by a head for a $27,000 purse. She most recently placed 2nd behind Grace Elizabeth by 1 ¾ lengths in a $27,000 race.

Grace Elizabeth is 9 for 25 in her career and has finished 1st, 5th, 6th, 1st in her previous four assignments. In her latest effort, she beat Coach Rube by 1 ¾ lengths for $15,000.

In a rematch between these two, Grace Elizabeth should have the upper hand again. I like her to draw off in the stretch.

Race 7 covers 7 furlongs on the dirt for a $30,800 purse. Consideration for No Change and Youthinkthatsfunny should be in order.

No Change is 5 for 15 and is a consistent gelding. He’s finished in the top-3 in ten straight performances.

Three races back, No Change beat Triple Bad by 1 ¼ lengths for a $30,800 purse. That was an impressive go for No Change.

He will be looking to get back into the winner’s circle after finishing 2nd, 3rd in his last two. No Change showed 3rd most recently on December 16 for a $30,800 prize.

Youthinkthatsfunny is 5 for 15 and is consistent as well. He has finished 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd in his previous four outings.

In his last attempt, Youthinkthatsfunny placed 2nd behind River Crossroad Rvf by 4 lengths in a $30,800 race. It was a fine effort and this should be easier.

Youthinkthatsfunny should have enough in the tank to get to the wire out in front.

-125 (4/5)

Post Time: 10:17 p.m. EST
Distance: 4 ½ Furlongs

Race 8 is a short sprint of 4 ½ furlongs for a $27,000 purse. Inspiring Justice and Storm Boarder should have a chance to get home in this one.

Inspiring Justice is 8 for 26 in his career, and has finished 6th, 2nd, 7th, 1st in his last four attempts. In Inspiring Justice’s previous outing, he beat Upheaval by 2 ¾ lengths for a $16,000 prize.

That was a promising performance after finishing 7th on October 23 in a $27,000 event. Inspiring Justice is going back to the $27,000 level, so we’ll see if he learned anything.

Storm Boarder should be tough to defeat in this spot. In his last five races, Storm Boarder has won all assignments.

In his last race, Storm Boarder beat Stage Left by 1 length for an $18,800 purse. This was following a win in a $27,000 assignment, so he’s proven to win at this level.

Storm Boarder should have a big chance to go in for the sixth straight time.
