We’re back with more free horse racing picks at TheSportsGeek on Sunday. The NFL Playoffs might be the centerpiece of the sports card this afternoon today, but are other opportunities on the sports betting landscape. Lines are so sharp during playoff time that it probably isn’t the best to empty your bankroll on a play.

Industry Leading 9% Cashback!

BetOnline has ten racecourses for wagering on Sunday, so it’s a pretty decent enough card. There are racecourses open for wager at the racebook. If you are looking for the best cashback in the business with a free $25.00 free bet, check them out.

You could also save the free bet for next weekend at Gulfstream Park. The Pegasus World Cup Invitational (Gr. 1) is in Hallandale Beach next Saturday. As far as this Sunday is concerned, the biggest race you’re going to see is at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Sunland Park has nine races worth $217,800 this afternoon. Sunland has a hybrid card with quarter horses and thoroughbreds. Head below for our best Sunland Park picks on January 23, 2022.

Race 4 is a $27,300 event covering 330 yards. This is one four quarter horse races at Sunland on Sunday. Look for Osberry Fast and Kj Daisy Duke to have a solid chance in this one.

Osberry Fast might have to avoid getting bumped out of the gate with that starting post position, but should have a chance if it’s a clean race.

Osberry Fast is 2 for 11 and has finished 2nd, 1st, 1st, 6th in his previous four outings. He was a back-to-back winner in a $13,000 and $22,800 race, but then fell out of contention most recently.

In his last attempt on December 31, Osberry Fast finished 6th for a $27,300 purse. Staying in that grade, this should be tough as well.

Kj Daisy Duke is 2 for 11 in her carer and showing consistency in tough races lately. The filly has finished in the top-3 in four in a row, including stakes races.

In her last race, she showed 3rd in the $10,000 Texas Classic Derby Trial after winning at Lone Star on October 16 in a $16,800 event. Catching a favorable draw on the rail, her consistency should pay off on Sunday.

Race 5

(1) Jess Agree
+500 (5/1)
(2) Trashpanda
+800 (8/1)
(3) Direct Deposit Fs
+400 (4/1)
(4) Galaxy Czech
+350 (7/2)
(5) Miss Louisiana Belle
+300 (3/1)
(6) U Got The Look
+350 (7/2)
(7) Frost Dalena
+1000 (10/1)

Post Time: 2:09p.m. MST
Distance: 350 Yards
Purse:$26,000

Race 5 is the final quarter horse race of the day with a $26,000 prize on the line. Jess Agree and U Got The Look should be competitive in this race.

Jess Agree from the inside should be a danger. The No. 1 is 3 for 10 in her career and rates a threat to win. She has finished 1st, 8th, 3rd, 5th in her last four.

Jess Agree won four races back in an $8,000 race. She got the win after a disqualification, finishing a half-length behind Rocket Queen V by a half-length.

In her last event, Jess Agree went 5th for a $22,400 purse on November 6. That was a bit too tough, but this should be easier.

U Got The Look could be a good value selection from the No. 6 hole. She is 3 for 18 and should have a good chance today.

U Got The Look most recently placed 2nd behind Crown N Royal Gal by a neck for a $31,200 purse on January 2. That was impressive.

This was after finishing 6th in the $30,000 New Mexico Classic Distaff on November 1. Look for U Got The Look to run a big race in this one.
