Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL Betting Pick Week 9 – November 6

Two teams struggling mightily will face off on Sunday afternoon as the 3-4 LA Rams will head to Tampa Bay to take on the 3-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both of these talented, veteran-laden squads were quite frankly supposed to be much better this year, but injuries and inconsistent play have derailed the first half of their respective seasons. It is still early though, and there is some time to rebound. Though in a tight NFC playoff battle, this is a game that could have some pretty massive post-season implications. And while both teams have fared well defensively, it’s the offenses that enter Week 9 completely out of sync. Tom Brady is finally showing signs of his age, but isn’t getting much help from his talented array of receivers. The Bucs are struggling mightily to run the football with Leonard Fournette, and will likely turn to Rachaad White for more carries vs. the Rams.

Meanwhile for the Rams, Cooper Kupp is banged up, and though he is expected to be in game action here in Week 9, it remains to be seen just how involved he’ll be. Kupp is obviously the main and usually the only engine that drives the L.A. aerial attack, and with him limited – it could spell trouble. Cam Akers is also back from injury and will run alongside Darrell Henderson Jr. – a tandem that has underwhelmed once again in 2022.

With both of these squads having losing records mid-way through the regular season, the panic button has officially been pressed here. This is simply a massive contest, and the desperation from both teams should result in a classic showdown on Sunday afternoon. Continue reading on beneath the posted odds for a full matchup preview, trends, and the latest information to help you make an informed decision for Week 9’s Rams vs. Bucs Sunday evening match-up. Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction:

This matchup should be exciting, with all that is on the line in Week 9. With Cooper Kupp confirmed to be in the lineup, it should give the Rams good hope and optimism as they enter Tampa Bay for a crucial showdown. Stafford really relies on Kupp heavily in virtually all situations, and there are few within the Bucs’ secondary that can limit Kupp. Tampa Bay’s defense has started to fade as injuries have mounted, and a dual-threat run game of Akers and Henderson, combined with Kupp and Higbee as primary pass-catchers, could overwhelm this depleted Bucs’ stop unit.

With Shaq Barrett out for the year, it’s really going to hinder Tampa’s pass rush, and give Matt Stafford all kinds of time and space to utilise that big arm of his from the pocket. Stafford hates pressure, and expect the Rams’ protection packages to hold up well vs. Tampa without Shaq Barrett.

For the Bucs, somehow their offense, despite all of the talent – just cannot figure it out. They’ve been brutal in every facet with the ball. Tampa has struggled to block all season long, and have virtually zero run game to speak of. Leonard Fournette has been woeful, and Brady at 45 years old is showing signs of fading. With the Bucs’ blocking so poor, look for Los Angeles’ Aaron Donald to really step up and have a good outing. The Rams’ defensive unit features in the top-10 of many statistical categories this year, and they have the pieces to slow down the Bucs through the air. While Brady’s receiving options have been erratic and inconsistent so far in 2022, they’ll look to be healthy here in Week 9. Those wideouts against a talented Los Angeles secondary is definitely a matchup worth watching. Rams vs. Buccaneers Trends To Know: Rams are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a double-digit loss at home. Buccaneers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games in Week 9. Buccaneers are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games on grass. Buccaneers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games. Rams are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings in Tampa Bay. Rams are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings. Underdog is 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 meetings. The Rams have dominated this series of late, and though they enter as small road underdogs, the banged-up Bucs haven’t fared well on home soil this season. Perhaps it’s the pressure, or maybe it is the injuries, but Tampa Bay isn’t right in 2022. The Rams are healthier, hungrier, have the better defense, and with Cooper Kupp back in line to play big snaps, don’t anticipate Tampa’s struggling defense having too many answers for the LA passing attack. Back the Rams in Week 9.
