Bet365 Review

Review of Bet365

Without sounding like total nerds, we were actually pretty excited to get to review Bet365. Why? Well, a lot of the sites we end up reviewing are either small, lacking in features, a bit shady, or brand new to the market. Bet365, on the other hand, is one of the industry giants and without any review research, we already know they are on point with three out of the four criteria we just mentioned.

They are by no means small as they have 3500+ employees and last reports have them with over 19 million customers. They’re not shady in the slightest as they are based in the UK (not on some remote island) and are fully licensed by the appropriate UK Gaming Boards. Bet365 was also launched in 2000, so they’ve been in the market for over 15 years with a fantastic track record.

The only one of the four criteria we couldn’t speak on without doing a complete review were the features and the actual meat of the site.  While reputation, licensing, and company history are extremely important, they only matter if the site itself is worth playing on. In this review, we’re going to dig into the good, the bad, and the ugly of Bet365 and try and find everything you’ll like and the things you may not be a huge fan of.

While we expect this site to have a lot more positives than negatives based on their industry reputation, we’re not here to blow smoke up your tail pipe. We’re going to be as brutally honest as we need to be to give you a complete and accurate picture of what this site is like and what your experience might be like. As there are so many options available for sports betting and for your other gambling needs, it’s important that you select a site that fits your unique needs best. We can only help with that if we give you an honest, accurate, and complete review.

The Sportsbook

As soon as you navigate to the main page of the site, you’re smacked in the face with odds. There’s no real welcome page or anything like that; it’s complete and immediate immersion into sports betting odds. Frankly, this might be a little overwhelming if you’re a new sports bettor, but for the seasoned folks they might be a fan of the no B.S., get me into the action mindset of Bet365.

After getting through the shell shock of the in your face odds, we started to see some of the huge positives the site had to offer. First, everything was lightning fast…like insanely fast. Any sport or bet type that you clicked on would fire up immediately without any loading delay. For someone who spends a lot of times on sports betting websites, this is amazing and also quite rare. It was so fast it’s actually changed what we refer to as fast now.

Apparently, speed is not the only thing that we have a new gold standard for. The number of things that you can bet on at Bet365 is almost comically vast. Gaelic sports? Trotting? Table Tennis? We actually spent some time trying to find sports that they DIDN’T offer with absolutely no luck. We are already excited and dreading typing up the complete list of sports offered in the next section. One thing that was also interesting is they kept the categories up for sports that were out of season. This may be because they were already offering bets on these which is pretty awesome to see.

The organization of the bets is different than most other sites which might take a little getting used to but it seems to be well organized and works well with the massive amount of bets they have offered. Instead of clicking on the sport and then the game, you click on the sport and then the bet type, and then it lists all available for all games. It might sound weird, but it’s actually pretty awesome and convenient.

The site also has the ability for you to change all odds with a quick drop down click to American, Decimal, or Fractional. You can also select what language you want the site in (18 choices). This is better than using your web browser to translate as it’s actually managed by the site and should be specifically geared to handle gambling terms and such. This is the first time this reviewer has ever seen that option.

Overall, this is the most expansive online sportsbook we have ever seen. That distinction used to go to 5dimes, but it looks like Bet365 takes the cake away (at least at the time of this review). As an American who is not allowed to play on the site, I personally am beyond jealous of those of you that can.

Sports You Can Bet On

Prepare yourselves for a massive list of sports offered. The list at Bet365 is probably the biggest we have ever seen. This normally could be a negative making it harder to find the sports your really want, but Bet365 has done an incredible job to get things organized well and easy to sift through.

The complete list of sports you can bet on at Bet365 at the time of this review:

Note: We did mention earlier that they leave up all categories year round, but they don’t have all leagues left up year round so you may need to check back if you don’t see what you want here. We figured this out by noticing that college football wasn’t listed but is definitely offered.

Types of Bets Offered

Bet365 offers an enormous amount of bets. We would like to mention how this compares with most other sites we’ve seen and as you can probably imagine, this blows them out of the water. The number of prop bets offered alone, was probably the biggest standout for us by far. While we usually only listed them once for each major category above, they were available on almost all of the games and leagues listed. This includes a lot of the smaller, less mainstream options.

User Interface

As we first mentioned, our initial reaction when going to the site was, “WHOA! Sports betting!” This was because there is no welcome page or gentle easing into the site. You are immediately immersed in a wall of odds and sports betting options. This may be a little overwhelming for newer bettors, but we can assure you that if you can fight through any anxiety, it will be worth it.

The layout of the sports betting area is quite different than most other sites. At first, this was alarming, but after spending a few minutes tinkering around, we realized it’s actually a pretty cool layout. The bets are actually organized the original way AND the new way. If you want to place four or five bets on the same game, you can select the game under the game props section, and it will have everything under the sun for that particular game. If you wanted to place four or five moneyline bets on different games, you could select the game lines tab and see moneylines for all of the games in that sport. This is pretty incredible and well thought out.

Basically, regarding navigation, it may take you a couple of minutes to locate all of the options, but once you do, you will probably be hooked on this layout and think that every other site is inferior. As a US based reviewer, the jealousy is kicking in hard for those that get the privilege of betting here.

We also need to talk about the speed of the site and how it affects your ability to get your bets in. The speed is incredible. We seriously wish we could talk to each of you in person to tell you just how big of a deal this is and how much quicker it is than any other site we’ve been on. It’s THAT fast. Clearly, the server budget at Bet365 is extremely high which makes for a much more enjoyable experience. When lines change, the whole page doesn’t have to reload or flash all crazy. They just change. It’s amazing. As someone who has worked in the tech and web industries for a while, they really knocked this one out of the park.

Graphically speaking, the site isn’t much to look at. Everything is trimmed and slimmed and very minimalistic. That doesn’t mean it looks bad; it’s just not the bells and whistles, James Bond type feel sites that you see elsewhere. Personally, we see this as a huge plus. That stuff isn’t necessary when you’re looking to place sports bets. The Live Betting section does have some really cool graphics in their event view section where you can watch a live play by play of each of the games going on. This is similar to ESPN’s in-game views that you can watch, but it seems to be faster and more up to speed with the actual game.

The graphics do get a lot “sexier” when you move over into the casino and gaming side of things where it’s more about the experience and less about getting the job done. When we sports bet, we want to have a good time, but that is rarely affected by the graphical setup of the site (outside of ease of use). Frankly, we find a lot of those other sites to be distracting.

Ease of use is extremely high. Finding everything you need is easy and doesn’t take long to figure out how to use. If you’re looking at the site without being logged in, you will see most of the options that are available to you and can poke around quite a bit. Some of the more advanced betting options like parlays and if bets you won’t see until you log in with an account. After that, those are conveniently available just over the betting slips on the right-hand side of the screen.

Literally, the only thing we can think of that we would like to see improved on would be the addition of a search function for bets. While this would be cool to have, it’s probably not necessary because it doesn’t take more than a couple of quick clicks to get to any game you want. The site also has the top bets section right on the homepage which showcases the most popular games and events currently being bet on. This is awesome If you’re looking for a big game or something last minute.

Overall, the user interface is an A+ for Bet365. We wish we could somehow show how rare this is of a rating for us to give, but you’ll just have to take our word for it.

The Casino

Come on Bet365…we’re trying to find negatives to post about and you’re not making our job any easier. The casino at first glance looks amazing. The biggest standout is that the games are clearly the most expensive and actually branded. The very first game listed is Top Gun and has the Paramount Pictures tag on it. This is different than a lot of sites who might have a game called “Top Planes Gunning!” or something like that. The third game listed was Space Invaders and is an actual slot machine based on the iconic game. While we’ve seen some other online casinos have some of these games, it’s rare to see this many. Every single game listed seemed to be a high-quality game.

Regarding variety, there were tons of options. There were 128 slot options including Ace Ventura, Jekyll and Hyde, Monty Python, Britain’s Got Talent, and more! This is easily the highest quality selection of slots games we’ve seen anywhere outside of having to get off the couch and walk into an actual casino. While it is offered by some sites, Bet365 does not allow you to play any of the games without creating an account.

Bet365 had 8 different card/video poker games, 12 different table games, 12 different video poker options, and 12 random games including Keno and Rock-Paper-Scissors. Again, quality on all of these games is extremely high, and there were no “filler” type games in the mix.

28 of the games at Bet365 had some sort of bonus attached. These bonuses ranged from around $500 bucks all the way up to $7 million! Bet365 also offers live dealers with European Dealers and Asian Dealers. They had five options for the Euro fans and four options for the Asian fans.

The Bet365 software is also mobile friendly and compatible with iOS and Android devices. The games are available via the web browser on all devices. There is an app available for Android users for the regular casino as well as for the live casino. It’s great to see the different options here of web client and App for mobile so you can choose the format you prefer the most. Some people despise downloading apps, and some people can’t stand playing games on a web browser. Thankfully at Bet365, the choice is yours.

Deposit and Withdrawal Options

On Bet365, there are TONS of options for deposits and withdrawals and what was really surprising to see were that all of the withdrawal options were free. All payout options are different depending on which country you are in but can be seen by selecting your country on the payouts and withdrawal pages. As this site is UK based, we’ve listed the UK options below. Glancing through the other countries, they were all fairly similar with a few countries lacking a couple of the different options. Surprisingly, there was no Bitcoin option but probably not necessary when your payouts are all free.

Bonuses and Promotions

Bet365 had a lot of different bonus options with plenty of them being for specific sports or sections of the site. While these were not as “juicy” as some of the other sites we’ve seen, it’s probably because they don’t need to be as aggressive getting clients due to the high quality of their product. Regardless, they are still offering free money, and you should definitely be taking advantage.

Here’s the list of the offers that were marked under the special tab of the site.

Welcome Bonus

$100 match bonus on deposits over$10 with a max of $100

Earn up to 50% on US and Canadian parlays

In addition to these bonuses, the site has specific bonuses for soccer, horse racing, greyhounds, Australian Racing, and other sports. We thought at first glance that they also had additional bonuses for using the mobile platform, but it looks like they just mean you can be set up to get notified when new promotions are released via mobile.

Customer Service

Bet365 offers an extensive FAQ section with information on literally everything under the sun you might want to know about the games or how your payouts work or anything like that.

Regarding customer service options, they have pretty much everything. They have live chat, email, phone, and even mail support. Yes, you can send snail mail to the company if you really need to.
