The online sportsbook industry is already huge and it continues to grow. There are a ton of websites vying for your business out there, but how are we supposed to know which sites work best for us?

There are many factors we need to consider when deciding on which sportsbook it the best fit. Some factors may carry more weight to you than others, but it’s important to at least consider all the moving parts when deciding which sportsbook works best for you.

Is a bonus and promotion structure important to you? Do you prefer a user-friendly site that navigates easily with a clean interface? How about deposit and withdrawal methods? What sports do your prefer to bet on and does a given site offer enough when it comes to these sports? Is the customer service adequate or are you on your own?

These are just some of the factors to consider. However, don’t fret. This is exactly what these reviews are here to accomplish and answer for you. Don’t worry about doing the legwork, we’ll take care of that for you! All you need to do is decide which factors mean the most to your betting experience and you should get an easier picture of whether or not the Coral sportsbook works for you or if you should keep your search going.

Sit back, grab a beverage, and let us break down Coral sportsbook and what it can do for you!

The Sportsbook

The Coral sportsbook is one of the more interesting sportsbooks we’ve seen what we consider all factors.

The first thing we should note is that given the fact the site has a UK URL and is licenced under the Gambling Commission of Great Britain for its UK players, we know right away that this site is going to tailor to soccer, or football, as so many other European-targeted online sportsbooks do. In other words, if you don’t prefer to bet on soccer there is a good chance that Coral isn’t the best fit for you.

It’s also interesting in the layout of the interface. There is some eye-catching material on the sportsbook homepage and we can at least say this it is attention-grabbing and not dull in the least, although we have some concerns in this department that we will outline below.

There are plenty of sports to bet on here as you would be hard-pressed not to find a sport you are planning on betting on at Coral.

The promotions area is also very vast at Coral, and in fact it flies above industry peers when it comes to the wide-variety of promotions that are available through the sportsbook.

“Enhanced” bets section:
Is a unique section and rather interesting. These are simply bets where the odds have increased in the bettor’s favor. This can be in relation to a variety of sports and parlays are also included. This is something quite out of the ordinary.

Another unique aspect to Coral is the telephone betting option that requires a £5 minimum bet. We don’t see a lot of telephone betting going on these days.

Overall we have a vast and deep sportsbook with an appealing and visually attractive interface. The promotions are plenty and it’s a soccer bettor’s dream.

So far, there’s not much to dislike about Coral.

Sports You Can Bet On

The sport selection here is quite wide, although we have seen a wide-variety of sports offered at other sportsbooks as well. That’s in no way a knock against Coral, we just need to make mention that this wide range of betting opportunities isn’t unheard of and is fairly common throughout the industry.

To get started, we will rattle off the sports that are available for betting here at Coral, in alphabetical order. These sports include.

  • Athletics
  • Aussie Rules
  • Badminton
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Beach Volleyball
  • Bowling
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Curling
  • Cycling
  • Darts
  • Football
  • Formula 1
  • GAA (Irish Sport)
  • Golf
  • Greyhounds
  • Handball
  • Hockey
  • Horse Racing
  • Hurling
  • Ice Hockey
  • Motor Bikes
  • Motor Sports
  • Netball
  • NFL
  • Pool
  • Rowing
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Snooker
  • Speedway
  • Squash
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • WWE
  • Winter Sports

That’s quite a list, and we would consider this slightly above industry standards. However, given the very small percentage of players who bet on some of these sports, this long list doesn’t automatically put Coral ahead its competitors by itself.

There are also some non-athletic type events and items that are available for betting at Coral. These types of betting opportunities includes Christmas specials, esports, International Tote, lotto, movies, politics, TV specials, and virtuals.

The most popular sports at Coral are soccer (football), horse racing and tennis. We can easily tell as each one of these sports has its own tab at the top of the sportsbook homepage. Virtual sports are also popular among European and British sportsbooks.

All told, this is a huge list of sports that are available for betting. That’s certainly a plus in our books, but again, we don’t consider this overwhelmingly extraordinary as we see similar lists at other sportsbooks that are cut from a similar cloth as Coral.

Esports Coverage

As touched on above, Coral has esports as part of their offering which is nice considering the popularity in which this sub-industry is gaining.

There is a live betting option when it comes to esports at Coral while there is also a “tomorrow” tab if you wish to place bets on the next day’s esports action while a ‘future’ tab also exists to bet on future esports events.

While it’s nice that Coral has incorporated esports into its sportsbook, we would consider this adequate coverage at the most, if not below adequate. Sportsbooks that are similar to Coral have displayed a wider range of esports betting opportunities, but the live esports betting is handy for those who are interested in this section.

User Interface

We touched on the interface a little above and maintain that it is rather aesthetically-pleasing, however, there is one aspect that we don’t prefer with interfaces that Coral entails and it involves cleanliness.

We have maintained that we don’t prefer sportsbooks that have too much going on with their main user interface. All that can do is cause confusion and chaos in the mind of a first-time user or even a beginner who has dabbled into the online sports betting industry before.

There is nothing wrong with the color scheme and the sports are nicely laid out in a column on the left-hand side of the homepage. However, the middle is just a mess. They have live action, build your bets, upcoming horse races, featured bets, upcoming soccer games, enhanced bets, tennis futures, NBA and cricket all on the home page at once. That is just a ton of information to sort through and it’s going to cause far too much confusion among its users.

It’s interesting that they jumbled so much information into the middle of main interface given how nicely items are laid out to the side. We touched on how the list of sports is laid out in a tidy manner on the left-hand column, and the bet slip along with cash out, open bets and bet history tabs is the lone item in the right-hand column of the site. There are also some helpful tabs located at the top of the screen, but these are mostly handy only if you are interested in soccer, horse racing, tennis or virtual sports. Otherwise, your best bet is to look left.

There also isn’t an option to toggle through the odds formats which we have seen at plenty of sites in our time reviewing sportsbooks. We wouldn’t expect to see the American odds format available, however decimal odds would be another option on top of the default fractional odds at Coral.

Despite a nice color scheme and some attractive graphics, the confusion set off by the crowded and messy main interface has us giving Coral a thumbs down when it comes to user interface.

The Casino

Like the sportsbook, the Coral casino has plenty of gaming options, 97 of them to be exact according to the “All Games” section.

The sub-categories in the gaming section are roulette, slots, blackjack, table games and jackpots.

Keep in mind that there is a poker section here as well with a live casino option to boot.

The Coral casino is a popular one and is sure to satisfy your casino needs given its array of opportunities.

Deposit Methods

One of the biggest things to take into consideration when it comes to deciding on what sportsbook to given your business to is the deposit options. How efficient is the sportsbook in processing your deposit and are there any fees attached? These are big questions that you require answers to.

The good news is we have just the information you need when it comes to your deposit options at Coral.

The best thing about all of these options is that they are free of charge. Coral does not charge a fee for any of their deposit methods. This is a big plus!

We’ve organized a table for you to easily view the deposit options offered at Coral.

Visa / Maestro

  • Type: Debit and Credit Card
  • Minimum: £5
  • Process Time: Instant

  • Type: eWallet

It’s certainly nice to see that all methods are free of charge, all have small minimums and all of them are instant. This is some serious efficiency we are getting with the deposit methods offered at Coral.

Withdrawal Methods

Just as important as going through the deposit methods, the withdrawal methods need to be taken into serious consideration as well.

As was the case with the deposit methods, all withdrawal methods at Coral are also free of charge! This is rare and gives Coral a notch in the right direction in our books! That said, the efficiency and wait times do vary depending on the withdrawal method selected, so please refer to the table below for your withdrawing information!

In case you are wondering, Coral Connect is a card issued by Coral that you can use to bet and make deposits and withdrawals from. You don’t have to register a bank card with the Coral Connect option and you can collect your online and mobile winnings in one of many Coral shops. You can also qualify for promotions and bonuses that are exclusively available to Connect card customers.

These withdrawal methods are extremely efficient in that they don’t charge fees, they don’t have a minimum amount and they are relatively short wait times in all cases, especially the eWallet methods.

Finally, you can contact Coral to set up a withdrawal option if you deposited using a Paysafecard.

Bonuses and Promotions

Bonuses and promotions are near the top of the list when it comes to important items when checking out an online sportsbook.

Some sportsbooks greatly outweigh others in this department, and if you rank bonuses and promotions above all else, Coral could suit your needs given the array of promotions they offers.

Let’s dive in and see what types of promotions Coral offers you.

New Customer Offer

The new customer offer is a simple one. If you open a new online, mobile or telephone account at Coral and place a £5+ bet on a win or each way event, Coral will give you four free £5 bets.

A qualifying bet must be at ½ odds or higher and you are ineligible for this promotion if you deposited using PayPal, Paysafecard, Neteller or Skrill, as per the Terms and Conditions.

Horse Racing Enhanced Each Way

This promotion is available each day. It is simply enhanced odds on a given horse in a given race, but is available daily. Minimum runner stipulations do apply.

4+ ACCA Boost

If you like to bet on soccer, this one’s for you.

If you bet at least £2 on a 4-leg soccer acca each day, you could win a free bet of up to £100 for your first winning four-leg parlay or combo bet. The minimum odds of each leg of the parlay must be 1/10 or greater and the overall odds needs to be a minimum of 6/4.

Coral Bet & Get Club

Here is where you can win £10 in free bets.

To do so online, you just log into your account and opt in to the Bet & Get Club. Accumulate £25 in settled bets on any sports markets at odds of even or greater from Monday to Thursday each week. On Friday, you will be credited with a free £5 bet and if you have a Coral Connect card (referenced above), you can also get an additional £5 free bet to use in the shop.

Virtual Sports Welcome Offer

If you are playing virtual sports at Coral for the first time, you simply place a bet at odds of even or greater any scheduled virtual sports event. Win or lose, you will receive a matched free bet up to £20 to use on virtual sports!

Minimum bet is only £1.

Here, you simply bet on a horse/greyhound at any price in a UK or Ireland race.

  • If the odds get shorter, you get paid at the original price
  • If the odds get bigger, you can paid at the bigger price

Cashout and Partial Cash Out

This one is a popular one.

If you place a bet and you don’t like how it’s shaping up, you can cash out at a value determined by Coral. If you place a bet and it is winning before the event ends, you can cash out and essentially take your money and run.

Cashout is available in the soccer, horse racing, tennis, cricket, darts, snooker, basketball, boxing, volleyball and handball markets.

10% Cashback On Lotto

The lotto market is part of the sportsbook here at Coral.

If you bet at least £10 on any lotto market between Monday and Sunday, a player with losses of at least £10 will receive 10% back in cash. There is no limit to the amount of cash back a player can receive.

The cash will arrive Monday after the qualifying week.

Rewards for Racing

You can reap rewards for betting on horse racing with this promotion.

After you sign up, you can collect one point for every £1 you bet with Coral. Once points are collected, you can exchange them for a raceday experience across 30 different racing venues in the UK.

Join Connect

As we touched on earlier, you can register and receive a Coral Connect card.

You can bet and game with Coral in the shop, online, using a mobile or a tablet and over the telephone.

You can deposit cash onto this card at one of many Coral shops, at which point you can bet using this card and withdraw using this card. It is essentially a debit card for betting with Coral.

Another benefit to this card is you can qualify for promotions and bonuses that are available sole to Coral Connect card customers.

Customer Service

Aside from a very helpful “Help” page that has dozens of articles in regards to some FAQ that a customer may have, there are four main avenues to contact Coral directly if you are in need of assistance.

The first methods are standard in telephone and email.

However, the live chat option is available 24/7 and is the most-used option at Coral.

Finally, there is a Twitter option that we see as an above-and-beyond method. They actually seem to prefer the Twitter method at Coral.

When you click on the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the main sportsbook interface, the contact us page reveals a Twitter private message button where customers are encouraged to message Coral on Twitter with the promise that their Twitter Help Team will get back to you. It may not be quite as efficient from a time standpoint as the live chat, however we like this option given the explosion in social media use worldwide.

Overall, excellent customer service here and we could consider this above industry standards.
