Leicester City vs. Fulham Pick – Premier League November 30, 2020

There are a handful of elite football leagues in Europe with action on Monday. Serie A and La Liga has a couple of matches, while the Premier League has one match. The EPL has the lone contest between Leicester City and Fulham at King Power Stadium on Monday. Manchester United highlighted the Premier League on Sunday with a 3-2 win over Southampton. Since Manchester United beat PSG in the Champions League a few weeks back, I’ve been impressed with what they’ve been doing.

They have some hills to climb before they’re the class of the EPL again, but at least we’ve seen some fight out of them against good teams recently. Instead of picking on inferior clubs, Manchester United has been rising up against better competition. Don’t get too excited, though, they’re not yet ready to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City. The same could be said for Leicester City, who welcomes Fulham to King Power Stadium on Monday in one of two EPL matches being played today.

Leicester City finished last season with a record of 18-8-12 for 62 points and fifth in the EPL. That was good to get them into the Europa League group stage, though it had to be frustrating to be knocking on the door of the Champions League and get denied by 4 points. Chelsea earned the final spot in the Champions League with 66 points. Leicester is hoping to do one spot better in 2020-21 and get to the Champions League for the first time since 2017. That was their fourth appearance in the tournament.

Fulham weren’t in the EPL last year. They were promoted to the top-fight of England going into the 2020-21 campaign. It’s too early to be talking about relegation, but they would be going back in the opposition direction of the season was done today. Fulham enters Monday with a record of 1-1-7 and 4 points. They head to Leicester on a two-match losing streak, and losses in three of their previous four outings. Head below for our free Leicester City vs. Fulham pick for November 30, 2020.

Leicester City vs. Fulham Prediction:

Leicester are one of those clubs that opposing teams must take seriously or they’re going to bite. They don’t get nearly as much face time as some of the other better clubs in the Premier League, but Leicester deserve some respect by now in England.

It was only 2017 that Leicester were in the Champions League, and they have an honest chance of getting back for next year. Leicester go into Monday with a record of 6-0-3. That is 6 wins and 3 losses on their resume, with no draws thus far. They are coming off a tough matchup against Liverpool in EPL action on November 22.

Liverpool pounded Leicester by a score of 3-0 in that match. However, prior to that beatdown, Leicester were 1-0 winners over the Wolves and 4-1 over Leeds. If we want to go further back to October, Leicester defeated Arsenal, 1-0, on the road on the 25th. In all, Leicester has a goal to goal conceded ratio of +6.

Fulham is not Liverpool, not by any stretch of the imagination, so this appears like a good spot for Leicester to bounce back against an inferior opponent. Fulham have a goal difference of -9 in the 2020-21 campaign. The only club in the EPL that has fewer points than Fulham at the moment is Sheffield United.

Fulham are coming off a 3-2 loss versus Everton last weekend. Prior to that loss, they were 1-0 losers on the road against West Ham. The most recent win for Fulham was on November 2 against West Brom. West Brom aren’t that much better than Fulham. That’s their only win on the season against a 1-3-6 West Brom squad. I’m anticipating a 2-0 win for the home side on Monday at King Power Stadium.
