It’s time for another set of Premier League betting predictions. It’s Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace betting picks we’re here for, driven by recent successful Man Utd picks. They were quite simple – just go with both teams to score and that’s it. Knowing United’s terrific attack and lack of defensive efforts means these bets were a no-brainer. But, this could be a very different match as Ralf Rangnick’s Man Utd era is about to kick off.

As for Crystal Palace, Patrick Vieira has been doing a pretty good job this season! His team is currently in eleventh spot, but they’re in a downward spiral having lost two of their latest clashes. But, anything is possible when you play against Manchester United, I think we can all agree on that at this point.
Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace Betting Odds
Here are the odds for this Champions League matchup:
Obviously, having drawn with Chelsea and defeated Arsenal in the last two, Manchester United are finally moving up the Premier League rankings and are currently in seventh place. They are the favorites coming into this one. It should be a straightforward home fixture for them, though we’ve seen them struggle against weaker teams, so nothing is set in stone just yet.
Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace Betting Predictions
Historically, over the last two years, United haven’t been dominant against Crystal Palace. Their last h2h earlier this year finished in a goalless draw, while the one before that (in September 2020), ended with Crystal Palace winning 3:1. Last United’s win came in July that same year – 2:0 away fixture which saw Rashford and Martial score the goals.
Crystal Palace Betting Preview: Patrick Vieira’s Loyal
Let’s start off with Crystal Palace. Patrick Vieira, Arsenal’s legend, took the job not really knowing what he’s getting himself into. But, a few months later and Crystal Palace aren’t stuck to the bottom of the table. They’re a middle-of-the-pack team, currently placed eleventh but fared much better just two weeks ago.
That’s because they are currently in a downward spiral. You see, they suffered losses to Leeds and Aston Villa, both of which are still below them on the ePL standings. Prior to that, Vieira’s Palace beat Wolves and Manchester City, the latter of which was one of the biggest surprises this season (after Spurs’ win over City in the opener, cough cough).
Conor Gallagher has been Palace’s best player thus far in these fourteen fixtures. The 21-year-old Chelsea U23 loanee has scored four and assisted three, which is quite the feat coming from a central midfield visionary. His development has sky-rocketed this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea calls him back next summer.
Unfortunately, some of his young talents will be coming back to their original clubs next month, Gallagher included. On the bright side, Guehi is here to stay, just like Edouard, and Olise, all three of which have bright futures ahead.
Manchester United Betting Preview: Rangnick’s First Test
But, a lot of young talents won’t be enough to push Crystal Palace against Manchester United this Sunday… especially not after United’s splendid home win against Arsenal last night. Ronaldo is at 801 total goals right now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he nets one or two more against C. Palace. The man is not slowing down, not one bit – he’s a natural goalscorer and betting on him to put one past C. Palace’s goalie seems like a valid option.
Rangnick is bound to puzzle all the pieces in right off the bat. Yes, there will be tactical adjustments later on, but the German strategist has an incredibly deep roster at his disposal. Injuries might be a slight problem looking at the short term, but if there aren’t any major shifts later on, United could still end up as a top-four contender.
Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace Betting Picks
No matter which team you’re leaning towards, statistically, this should be Manchester United’s match. Heck, not just statistically – we know United’s players always react well to management changes. It happened with Mourinho, it happened with Ole, and now it’s bound to happen with Rangnick too. Plus, their roster depth is just unparalleled!
At -175, there’s plenty of value in Man Utd’s moneyline. It’s a brilliant match to bet on, that’s for sure, with Rangnick having win as an imperative going forward. Patrick Vieira has been doing a pretty good job with Palace, but I expect he’ll get on the receiving end of this one. It’s going to be his third consecutive loss, one that’s only going to keep pushing his team in the wrong direction.
