Eight Premier League matchdays are behind us! Chelsea is in the top spot with nineteen points, with Liverpool and Manchester City following in their footsteps with 18 and 17, respectively. Manchester United lost their pace following just one point in their last three matches. This weekend, Man Utd vs. Liverpool is definitely the most highly-anticipated clash. The eternal rivalry between these two teams is on once again, and with both teams winning their latest Champions League clashes, their ePL h2h has all the makings of a special!

Man Utd vs. Liverpool Betting Odds

Let’s start off with the odds and build our way towards essential information:

WIN/DRAW/WIN
Manchester United DRAW Liverpool
+210 +250 +125
TOTAL GOALS 2.5
OVER UNDER
-115 -115

These are the main four betting lines we’re going to be researching today. The latter seems like the most interesting option, especially considering the recent matches on both ends. But, as always, we need to take a much closer look at both teams to be able to predict the outcome of this one and choose the best possible value.

Let’s roll!

Man Utd Betting Preview

Oh, what a match that was! Manchester United is currently on top of their Champions League group even though they went to the halftime dead last. They were losing 2:0 at the break, only to come back from the dead and grab all three points with just minutes left on the clock. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner – as if it was ever going to be someone else, right?

The Red Devils are now first with six points and are doing quite well considering the fact they lost the opening matchup. However, the same can’t be said about their domestic performances. They grabbed just one point in their last three ePL matches. Prior to that, they were near the top of the league. Right now, they’re sixth, a placement not worthy of C. Ronaldo and the Red Devils.

Things need to change ASAP and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows it. The fans want him out – they want either Zidane or Conte to manage United and hopefully win some silverware this season. A reverse sweep against Atalanta has only extended the Norwegian’s reign over United… though should United lose to Liverpool, #OleOut is bound to start trending again!

Liverpool Betting Preview

Next up, Liverpool! Klopp’s Liverpool is currently in second place on the ePL standings, just one point away from Chelsea. They dropped two points against Brentford in late September which could prove to be crucial later on.
But, there’s no point in crying over it now. Liverpool is doing wonders out there, enjoying the best offensive record in the league, as well as a solid defensive one too. The latter, however, was expected to be much more viable this season, with the return of VVD and all that.

However, Chelsea, City, and Brighton have all conceded fewer goals than Liverpool and are nearby points-wise. In Klopp’s defense, his team is playing much more aggressive; more than ever before! Salah, Firmino, and Mane are making waves left and right. When they’re having a good day, stopping them from creating chances and scoring goals is virtually impossible.

Please Note:

Mohamed Salah is on a whole new level this year. The Egyptian king is en route to win the Ballon d’Or this season. He’s a master-class finisher but can create goalscoring chances for his teammates too. Thus far, he’s been involved in eleven goals this season, scoring seven and assisting four. He’s a beast!

As mentioned earlier, both Liverpool and Man Utd won their Champions League clashes with 3:2 on the scoreboard. They’ll be coming into this clash with heads held high… though if we’re looking at their objective qualities, the Merseyside team should have the upper hand. However, it’s only a slight advantage that’s not good enough to sway our Man Utd vs. Liverpool betting pick either way.

Man Utd vs. Liverpool Betting Pick

We’re at the end of the road here, boys and girls. Let’s wrap this Premier League clash up and see which is the most viable option here!

The Bet
Both to Score and Over 2.5

The odds are surprisingly low for such a combo bet. But, then again, the sportsbooks know what kind of complexity to expect from this one. On one end, we have Man Utd with their faulty defense that’s been struck with injuries and silly mistakes… and on the other, we have Liverpool who have scored 22 goals thus far this season. Yep, 22 goals in just eight appearances.

To put things into perspective, United have scored 16 in as many matches. But, you might think Liverpool’s Allison will come out of this match with a clean sheet. While his statistics do suggest that (just six conceded goals in eight matches), knowing this game will be all about aggression and attack, there’s no doubt Ronaldo and the Red Devils will manage to penetrate Liverpool’s rock-solid back four.

That said, both teams to score and over 2.5 goals are the only viable option for this one.

There’s no deciding the winner here. These two are all about momentum, they both have excellent sets of players and it could really go either way.

So yeah, that’s that as far as our Man Utd vs. Liverpool betting pick is concerned. We’re on a nice little streak now – fingers crossed this match extends it even further!

Until next time, may the odds be in your favor!
