Manchester United vs. Bournemouth Pick – EPL July 4

It will surely be a classic tale of two teams heading in drastically different directions as Manchester United take on Bournemouth Saturday morning live from Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man United squad have finally found their fitness and legs, and seem to be playing to their full potential lately. The Red Devils are showing sturdiness at the back, while their offense appears to be in elite form. Once considered a longshot to chase down the coveted Champions League positions, with their current run, Man United have put themselves in a great position. With a wounded Bournemouth side coming to town on Saturday, there can be no let up from the favoured United squad.

For the Cherries, it’s been quite the poor run from Bournemouth. Every big outing is being met with colossal failure, and they seem a good bet to get relegated for next season. They simply cannot score goals anymore, and their defense has been woeful of late. Last time out, they were thoroughly embarrassed by a mediocre Newcastle side by a 4-0 scoreline. And though Eddie Howe’s club beat Man United back in November, the Cherries have been brutal ever since. Unless they can secure a shock result on Saturday, relegation seems imminent for this struggling club.

Can Manchester United take care of business as such decisive favourites? Or will they again succumb to the pressure? Read on beneath the odds for team news, a preview, and betting prediction as Man United play host to the Cherries this Saturday morning. Enjoy the fixture, everyone!

Manchester United vs. Bournemouth Pick:

With no new injury concerns for Manchester United, we could see yet another stellar outing from one of Europe’s most in-form sides. The group is starting to finally mesh and gain familiarity, and they’re clearly responding to their manager’s tactics and desired style of play.

United have been supremely steady at the back, with Harry Maguire being a beast in the middle of defense, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka continues to lead the EPL in tackles made on the left flank.

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes will be impossible for the Cherries to contend with in the middle of the field. With Pogba’s size and ball-winning ability, combined with Fernades’ vision and finishing touch – that duo has taken the league by storm in their short run together. It continues to be the key for Man United, and should continue providing excellent service up top to their trio of pacy strikers. Between Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, and Anthony Martial – there aren’t many defenders that can stay with them, and certainly not Bournemouth given their current form.

It’s been a bad situation since the restart for Bournemouth, and it’s only going to get worse on Saturday. Though they have some talented players who could sign elsewhere for a lot of money, it remains to be seen what type of outing they’ll turn in against Manchester United. Eddie Howe is firmly on the hot seat, and he needs goals. Unfortunately star striker Callum Wilson remains out, and with little replacement options – changes are coming.

Expect Howe to line Bournemouth up in a 4-4-1-1 formation if training has been any indication. Though the goal will likely be to frustrate United and be impossible to break down, injuries within defense and a general malaise at the back are going to make this tough to do for the visitors. Nathan Ake is elite in the center of defense, but he’s surrounded by players nowhere near his calibre. Bournemouth might turn in an improved outing, but with no real threat going forward, United should dominate again.

With the Red Devils controlling possession and the chances, the Cherries will ultimately succumb to the talented onslaught United will throw at them. There is too much speed, skill, and talent right now in red, and their frequent ability to generate goals from very little will surely come in handy against a Bournemouth squad keen to ‘park the bus’ on Saturday. Once United gets a couple of goals, that should force Eddie Howe to try and go for a positive result, likely only embarrassing the Cherries further. There’s a huge gap between these sides, and Man United will show that as they continue to chase down a Champions League spot. On the -1.5 goal-line, Man U are showing to be good value for Saturday. Enjoy the match!
