Tottenham vs. Chelsea Betting Options – 2021/22 Premier League Predictions

Four Premier League matchdays are behind us, boys and girls! We’ve had quite as few upsets thus far, as well as several blowouts, some of which were rather unexpected. The fifth set of fixtures is scheduled for this weekend, so you better prepare your betting bankrolls for what’s about to unfold! Tottenham vs. Chelsea is the biggest derby of the weekend, featuring two fiery London sides battling for supremacy. With Arsenal out of the equation, who will take the London throne – Tottenham or Chelsea?

Tottenham vs. Chelsea Betting Odds

Last three Tottenham vs. Chelsea clashes all had different end results. One win, one draw, and one loss – this isn’t good news for our Tottenham vs. Chelsea predictions, that’s for sure! Prior to that, Chelsea had four straight wins, three in the Premier League and one in the League Cup.

But, mind you we’re talking about 2019 and early 2020 period here – a lot has changed since then.

Chelsea, despite only being above Tottenham by a point and playing away, are considered the favorites coming into this one. All major online sports betting sites have Tuchel’s side as more formidable, but that doesn’t take away from the fact Tottenham have a quality setup too. Here’s a look at the odds for this game:

Tottenham Betting Preview

This season, Chelsea and Tottenham kicked off pretty well. Chelsea have ten, Spurs have nine. The biggest surprise was Spurs’ opening-round upset over Pep’s city… or perhaps the surprising stomping a la Crystal Palace that hit Spurs like a truck?

Be that as it is:
Spurs are still a quality team that will be making waves in the top four this year. They need to work on their consistency, though, but I’m sure that’s something Nuno Espirito Santo already has planned out.

The Spurs managed to keep Harry Kane for another season, which is a big plus for their Premier and Conference League gameplay. Son is in great form, Bergwijn has been steadily improving too. If they can put an end to upsets like that against Crystal Palace, Tottenham could have a good season ahead of themselves.

As for their match against Chelsea this Sunday:
I expect Spurs to take the initiative early on. Chelsea will be aggressive, but Spurs have great midfielders that will be able to connect the lines no matter how aggressive Chelsea is. Kane will be a menace in front of the goal all match long, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he manages to put at least one behind Mendy.

Chelsea Betting Preview

Chelsea have scored nine goals in four matches and conceded just one. It was against Liverpool in their only draw of the season thus far. Tuchel’s men are currently in second place with ten points, below Manchester United on goal difference.

Their Champions League opener against Zenit was more difficult than they would’ve guessed beforehand.

But, three points are three points and I’m sure they’re happy with the final outcome. However, Chelsea are in a tough group and they’ll need to showcase even more determination in the opposition’s third if they are to qualify for the playoffs as the group winners.

Tuchel’s men will try to score the first goal on the game through aggressive, midfield-controlled gameplay in the first half. But, if they fail and the game goes to the second half without any goals, we might see them slowly back off and keep the point. Tuchel already drew with Liverpool so that might not be the ideal scenario for his Premier League title aspirations, but I doubt he’ll go all in with thirty or so minutes left on the clock.

Please Note:
There’s just no better way to attack this one than with a high-value draw option. The quality might sway this clash in Chelsea’s way, but they’re playing on the New White Hart Lane and it will be everything but a walk in the park for Chelsea.

Chelsea has the attacking quality to score goals here, but so does Tottenham. I reckon we’ll see either a 1:1 or 2:2 draw, so if you’re into specials, you might find that information useful too. As for our main Tottenham vs. Chelsea predictions, a straightforward draw at +275 is more than valuable here!
