Udinese vs. Crotone Pick – Serie A December 15, 2020

We have three elite leagues in action on Tuesday. There isn’t a whole lot of action, but the EPL has two matches, Serie A has two, while there is one La Liga match. We have the La Liga match covered between Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, while you can find Wolves and Chelsea later on today.

Be sure to check out the soccer picks page for everything you need to hit the pitch on Tuesday in Europe. With the Champions League off until the beginning of the Round of 16 in February, that allows the European leagues to play matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. This matchup is not going to be the draw of the day.

You will find most eyeballs watching the two Premier League matches. Manchester City will most certainly attract the most attention. If Manchester City had somebody else other than on the schedule than West Bromwich Albion, then I could maybe make the argument for a letdown following their match against Manchester United on Saturday.

After a 0-0 draw against Manchester United, how much motivation are they going to have on Tuesday? Probably enough to defeat a lowly opponent like West Bromwich Albion, but a better club might have given them problems today. The schedule makers did them some favors by putting Albion immediately following their tilt versus the Manchester United rivalry match.

Udinese have been in terrific form recently and are looking to continue their good fortunes. They go into Tuesday with a record of 4-1-5 and 13 points for 10th in Serie A. That doesn’t look all that good, but Udinese are showing signs of improvement from last season.

Udinese finished 13th with a mark of 12-9-17 and 45 points. This is a club that wasn’t playing in Serie A in the 2018-19 campaign, so progress is being made. Head below for our free Udinese vs. Crotone pick for December 15, 2020.

Udinese vs. Crotone Serie A Betting Odds:

  • Udinese -0.5, -1 (-127)
  • Crotone +0.5, +1 (+107)

  • Udinese -152
  • Crotone +480
  • Draw +265

  • Over 2.5 (-108)
  • Under 2.5 (-112)

Udinese vs. Crotone Prediction:

Udinese are coming off two impressive wins over Lazio, 3-1, and Torino, 3-2. The most impressive facet of those two matches is that Udinese did not have a letdown spot after beating Lazio. They kept their good play going and dispatched Torino by a score of 3-2 on December 12.

After Federico Bonazzoli scored at the 67th minute, Ilija Nestorovski responded with a goal of his own at the 69th minute to put Udinese ahead to give them the win. Note that Udinese have three wins in their last four matches. They also dispatched Genoa by a score of 1-0 on November 22 for more proof that Udinese has been in excellent form over the last month.

They will look to avoid a letdown against Crotone at home on Tuesday. Crotone are fresh off a 4-0 win over Spezia. That was impressive, but they are going to feel more pressure on the pitch on the road against Udinese today. Crotone is currently dead last in Serie A with a record of 1-2-8 and 5 points. They were not playing in Serie A last year, and only got promoted going into the 2020-21 campaign.

If things don’t improve for Crotone, then they are going to go right back down and get demoted. Crotone has gotten walloped on the road with 0.8 goals scored and 2.6 goals conceded per match on the road. Overall, they’ve scored just 0.91 goals per match. They might be able to build a little off their 4-0 win over Spezia, but the most likely scenario is right back to the loss column. I’m backing Udinese to win at home.
