Vote on the 51st State’s NFL Team!

51st State NFL Team to Be Announced

Name Canada’s First NFL Team

With Trump claiming Canada as the 51st State, could the Great White North be next in line for an NFL franchise?

At this point, that might be what it takes to get a new NFL team and we think Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, is the perfect pick.

Have your say in our poll below before May 28 to kickstart Canadian NFL expansion. Amid political spats and trade wars, this is one cross-border collaboration we can all get behind.

Who Would Lead an NFL Franchise in Canada?

If an NFL team in Canada were to become reality, it would need the right leadership. Marc Trestman is a familiar face in both the CFL and NFL, and Trestman’s experience with this duality makes him a perfect fit for the first international NFL coaching gig. Other Canadian football influences that could be considered are:

  • Brian Daboll, Ontario-native and current head coach of the New York Giants.
  • Dave Dickenson, a fan-favorite with a championship pedigree in Calgary
  • Michael “Pinball” Clemons, an ex-CFL star who’s currently GM of the Toronto Argonauts
