Because it’s not a serious injury, this hasn’t impacted the odds of Antetokounmpo being traded or what teams he could go to.

Non-Contact Injury Scares Antetokounmpo, But Disaster Is Averted

The play happened during the first quarter of Milwaukee’s 117-111 win over Detroit on Wednesday.

Antetokounmpo managed to walk off the floor with the help of teammates, and many feared the worst, given the spate of Achilles injuries that have hit the NBA recently. But Milwaukee coach Doc Rivers claimed after the game that it wasn’t his Achilles, and an MRI on Thursday confirmed a calf strain.

Antetokounmpo will be out for at least 2-4 weeks, and he already missed four games this season due to a groin strain. Earlier in the day, it was revealed that Antetokounmpo and his agent had spoken to the Bucks about his future with the team. The Bucks are 10-13 after last night’s win, and both sides are weighing whether a trade is best for everyone.
