Missouri sports betting is set to launch on December 1, 2025 making the Show-Me State the 39th state to offer legal sports wagering. Sports betting operators, business, employees, and more, had until September 15 to submit their applications.
DraftKings and Circa Sports were already awarded licenses, but eight more operators applied for by the deadline.
Available Missouri Sports Betting Licenses
After approving legalized Missouri sports betting, a total of 19 retail and 14 online licenses were made available. With a launch deadline set for December 1, the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) opened applications for potential operators with a deadline to apply of last week.
Licenses can be attained by two methods. The first, is through partnering with one of the state’s six professional sports franchises: Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, Sporting Kansas City, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, and St. Louis City SC.
The second is by partnering with one of the state’s 13 land-based casinos. Each sports team and casino can obtain one retail and one online sports betting license.
With DraftKings and Circa already accounted for with untethered licenses, eight more could be in the running to join the Missouri sports betting launch. The sportsbooks include: Bet365, BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, ESPN BET, Fanatics, FanDuel, Kambi, and Underdog.
However, the MGC has stated that any applications postmarked by September 12 will still be accepted, therefore, the list could grow.
Meetings are scheduled from September 23-24, and the gaming commission plans to announce the chosen operators soon after.
