Tottenham Ownership Reject $6 Billion Interest from US-Based Group

  • ENIC, the majority owners of Tottenham Hotspur, have turned down a $6 billion offer from an American group led by tech businessman Brooklyn Earick.
  • This is the third “expression of interest” for Spurs in the last month, and all three have been rejected.
  • ENIC and the Tottenham board are adamant that the club is not for sale, but will they stick to their guns?

ENIC, which owns Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League, has turned down an “expression of interest” to buy their club from American businessman Brooklyn Earick. The offer was reportedly $6 billion.

Tottenham have turned down two previous offers this month, and seem to be against selling the club at all. But that doesn’t mean things could change.

ENIC Also Turned Down Two “Expressions of Interest” Earlier This Month

It was reported on Friday morning that ENIC rebuffed the “expression of interest” from Earick, who has other investors with his group. Earick posted on his X account, making light of the situation.

Earick started his career as a DJ, but then worked for NASA and moved into the technology sector. He is behind Redacted RnD, a tech company, and Algorith Capital, an investment group.

This isn’t the first expression of interest for Spurs. Earlier this month, they rejected expressions of interest from PCP International, fronted by Amanda Staveley, who had shares in Newcastle United. Dr. Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng also expressed interest through Firehawk Holdings Limited.

It should be noted that an expression of interest is just that: a group is interested and lays out their plan, but there isn’t an official offer made.

ENIC, which owns 87% of Spurs, made the following statement:

"The board of the club and ENIC reconfirm that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and ENIC is not looking to sell its stake in the club."

It has been a busy start to the season for Spurs, who sit third in the Premier League under new manager Thomas Frank. ENIC, owned by British businessman Joe Lewis and family, asked longtime chairman Daniel Levy to step down after 24 years. Levy had turned Spurs into a profitable club, but the Europa League win over Manchester United in May 2025 was the club’s first trophy since winning the League Cup in 2008.

Will ENIC Sell Tottenham?

It doesn’t seem like Tottenham is for sale right now, but all owners have a price. A Sky Sports report says that Earick has until October 24 to come back with, “a formal intention to make an offer”. A Yahoo Sports report says that process is already underway.

Keep an eye on soccer betting sites, as you might find a prop on a potential sale of Tottenham. But Earick doesn’t seem like a person who takes “no” lightly, so this saga likely isn’t over!
