The predictions market platform Polymarket currently doesn’t offer player prop bets on its website. However, The Sports Geek team found multiple player props available for NBA, NFL, and NHL games when using Polymarket’s official application program interfacing (API).
We requested all available markets for various NBA, NFL, and NHL games, and the list included multiple player props. While these are not available for betting right now, Polymarket is likely testing them in the background and planning to launch them soon.
Key Points
- Polymarket is a prediction market platform that allows users to trade shares for various events, including sports, politics, entertainment, and more.
- Polymarket doesn’t officially offer player prop bets on the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB as of late January 2026, and you can’t find any on the website.
- When you use the platform’s API service, though, you can see multiple inactive player props for NBA, NHL, and NFL games, suggesting that Polymarket will launch these soon.
What Markets Did Polymarket’s API Return?
Before we share our results, allow me to explain how application program interfacing (API) works quickly. Think of it as a software tool that allows you to request data from Polymarket without opening the website.
You would normally expect to see the same information on Polymarket’s website and using the API, but that was not the case.
We used the API to request a list of all available markets for selected NBA and NHL games. Polymarket returned information about moneylines, totals, and spreads, which was expected.
However, we also got multiple player props that are not available on the Polymarket website.
Here are some of the options we found for the game between Portland and Washington, scheduled for January 27.

As you can see, there are player props for multiple players. These are not available on the website and show zero trading volume, proving the markets are inactive right now.
The results are similar for NFL and NHL games. We haven’t had the chance to test the MLB because it’s currently off-season, but we will as soon as the league is back.
If you have enough technical knowledge and want to replicate our results, just use the fetching data functionality offered by Polymarket.
What Do These Results Mean?
There’s no official information on player props becoming available at Polymarket, but the API results strongly suggest they are about to go live very soon.
We suspect that Polymarket is preparing them and testing in the background. The markets remain hidden on the website, but the API results are clear: player props are coming to Polymarket.
Whether the platform offers enough volume to compete with the top US betting sites is a question for the future. Either way, we will keep monitoring the situation to keep you informed.
