The 2026 Olympic women’s curling odds are finally on the board, setting the stage for what should be one of the most compelling tournaments of the Winter Games. The big question: can Canada’s Rachel Homan add to her legacy with a career-defining Olympic gold medal?

Team Canada (-200) is a heavy odds-on favorite to win the gold medal in women’s curling. At -200, Canada has a 66.7% implied probability of winning, according to top Olympic betting sites. That price gives the Canadians a comfortable advantage in the curling betting markets.
Aside from Homan’s squad, Switzerland (+325) has the second-best odds for the women’s Olympic curling gold medal. There is a fairly sizable drop off from Canada to Switzerland, with the Swiss side holding a 23.5% implied probability at +325. Sweden (+700) brings a quality curling team with them to Italy but are only give a 12.5% chance to win the gold by the bookies.
They are expected to podium with at least a bronze, though. The rest of the field doesn’t seem so fortunate. Outside of the top three teams, South Korea (+2000) has the next likeliest chance. South Korea’s implied probability stands at only 4.8%.

Women’s Olympics 2026 Curling Favorites
Three nations stand out as obvious contenders to win the gold medal. Before sharing my women’s Olympic curling picks, let’s break down the top teams:
Canada (-200)
Team Canada has the upper hand with their leader at the controls in Milano. Homan has won everything there possibly is to win as a skip except Olympic gold.
She’s won three World Women’s World Championship titles (2017, 2024, 2005) and won two Canadian Olympic Curling Trials (2017, 2025). Additionally, Homan won a silver and bronze medal from the World Championships.
The Canadian women’s curling team has been in red-hot form over the last two years. They’ve won back-to-back World titles as the favorites behind Homan. In 2024, Canada defeated Switzerland by a score of 7-5 for the gold medal on home ice at the World Women’s Curling Championship.

Homan and Co. put on a clinic in the round robin for an 11-1 record. With a DSC of 31.70, it wasn’t particularly close against their closest foes. The following year, Homan was at it again, as Canada repeated with a win over Switzerland, this time a 7-3 blowout in South Korea. In the round robin, Canada went 10-2 with a whopping 103 points for and just 59 against.
Canada looks like the clear team to beat for Olympic gold in women’s curling!
Switzerland (+325)
The Swiss side is the best of the rest, but does that mean they can get past the Canadians? They won four consecutive gold medals at the World Championships from 2019 to 2023 before Team Canada took back the momentum over the next two years.
It’s been a back-and-forth battle between Switzerland and Canada over the years, with the two curling powerhouses taking turns going through dominant periods. Despite falling short against Canada over the last two years, they still remain the most talented squad otherwise.
Led by skip Silvana Tirinzoni, Switzerland has flourished under her guidance. She was at the controls when Switzerland won four straight World Championships and still has something left to give at 46 years old. At the tail end of her career, Milano 2026 is very likely her final Winter Olympics appearance.
Switzerland has work to do because they haven’t managed to keep pace recently. In their latest major tournament, Team Switzerland settled for the bronze medal at the 2025 European Curling Championship, behind Scotland and Sweden. Tirinzoni, however, enters with some momentum on the heels of a third straight Players’ Championship title.

Tirinzoni isn’t going to go down quietly in Italy but may need to catch Homan out of form in their quest for gold.
Sweden (+700)
If any team is set up for an upset over Canada and Switzerland, it has to be Sweden. 36-year-old Anna Hasselborg is back as the skip and searching for her second Olympic gold medal. Hasselborg helped lead Sweden to the gold medal at PyeongChang 2018 over host country South Korea.
That was a down year for Canada and Switzerland, as they finished seventh and sixth. A lot has changed since then, but Sweden continues to play solid curling on the sheet. At the 2025 World Women’s Curling Championship, Sweden played well to notch a record of 9-3 in the round robin.
They didn’t rise up in the knockouts and had to settle for fifth-place but showed at times why the Swedes have the third shortest Olympics 2026 women’s curling betting odds. Also, Sweden came out on top to claim gold at the 2025 European Curling Championships.

Hasselborg was in the saddle, as Sweden defeated Switzerland for the gold medal in a nail biter, 5-4. However, in an Olympic tune-up, they are coming off a 9-5 loss to Homan’s Canada.
Nevertheless, at +700, it appears that Sweden is being underestimated by bettors. It’s going to be tough for gold, but they should probably be priced closer to +500.
Olympic Women’s Curling Longshots
The three favorites have the inside route to competing for gold medal, but if chaos ensues, there are a couple of nations that could be on the top of the podium:

Homan was left devastated after failing to win Olympic gold in 2022. It was a tough one to swallow for a legendary player, who had loads of pressure on her shoulders. Now, with that in her past, I expect her to play up to expectations in 2026.
Team Canada has been rolling in the major tournaments, and it should coincide with a gold medal in Milano. Coming off back-to-back World titles, expect Canada to be at their best and in top form in this tournament. Switzerland’s farewell tour for Tirinzoni will be emotional, but they’ve lost a step in the last two years.
