Best WNBA Predictions Today (With Reasoning), August 18

There are important things to know before betting on the WNBA. Fortunately, if you can’t do your own research, you can see exactly how we arrived at each of our WNBA picks today and the key factors that influenced our analysis.

Indiana Fever vs. Toronto Tempo: Fever -10.5 (-110)

The Indiana Fever (23-12) are rolling right now. They’ve won four straight and eight of their last ten games overall, and that Caitlin Clark-Kelsey Mitchell-Aliyah Boston trio is clicking on all cylinders. The Fever also carries the league’s best offense into this one. That’s not a small edge, that’s a significant structural advantage against a Toronto team that simply can’t stop anyone.

The Tempo (10-23) have lost ten consecutive games and own the league’s worst defense. As a home underdog, Toronto has covered the spread just twice in eight tries this season. That’s a brutal 2-6 ATS mark, and there’s no reason to expect a turnaround here. Even if Brittney Sykes returns from injury tonight, one player doesn’t fix a defense this broken overnight.

Indiana is 5-4 ATS as a road favorite, so they’re not a perfect ticket, but the matchup here is too lopsided to fade at WNBA betting sites. The Fever’s offensive firepower against Toronto’s porous defense is exactly the kind of mismatch that produces comfortable double-digit wins. Back Indiana to cover with confidence.

The Bet
Indiana Fever -10.5
Lucky Rebel
-110

Atlanta Dream vs. Las Vegas Aces: Aces -3 (-108)

The Dream (21-13) are coming in banged up mentally, if nothing else. They just dropped a 95-91 overtime loss to Indiana, which is a gut-punch result that tends to linger. More importantly, Atlanta’s road ATS numbers are a rough 6-10 on the season, and as a road underdog specifically, they’re sitting at a brutal 0-1. That’s a small sample, but the trend is pointing in the wrong direction.

Las Vegas (24-12), on the other hand, is playing comfortable basketball at home. The Aces are 9-7 ATS as a home favorite and have gone 2-1 overall on this current homestand. They know how to protect their floor and take care of business when the line is in their favor. A three-point spread is modest. This isn’t asking the Aces to blow anyone out, just to win the game with a little breathing room.

The juice on the Aces side is -108, which is nearly even money. That’s a very reasonable price to pay for a team with a proven home-court edge against a Dream squad that is struggling to cover on the road. The value is right there on the surface.

The Bet
Las Vegas Aces -3
Lucky Rebel
-108
