Best Premier League Predictions for Week 5 (With Reasoning)

Here’s a more detailed version of my EPL picks and odds on each, offered by the best soccer betting sites online:

Brentford vs. Chelsea: Both Teams to Score (-250)

Brentford and Chelsea both bring plenty of attacking momentum into this matchup, making both teams to score at -250 an appealing selection.

Brentford have scored seven goals across their opening four Premier League matches while conceding four, remaining unbeaten with six points. They have also found the net 13 times across their last five matches in all competitions, showing that their attack has been consistently productive.

Chelsea have been even more prolific in league play, scoring 10 goals through four matches at an average of 2.5 per game. With both sides showing plenty of firepower early in the campaign, there is a strong case for goals at both ends of the pitch.

Brighton vs. Arsenal: Over 2.5 Goals (-132)

Brighton and Arsenal head into this matchup with plenty of attacking confidence, making Over 2.5 Goals at -132 a strong goals angle.

The Seagulls scored five without reply at Coventry in their latest Premier League outing before following it up with a 3-2 comeback victory at Manchester United in the Carabao Cup. That gives Brighton eight goals across their last two matches and highlights the attacking threat Arsenal will face at the Amex.

Arsenal have also won every game so far this season, including their last two league matches against Chelsea and Sunderland. With both teams carrying confidence in front of goal, this matchup has the ingredients for an entertaining contest with at least three goals.

Man City vs. Sunderland: Man City to Win (-335)

Manchester City have made a perfect start to their Premier League campaign, and the reigning contenders have another opportunity to maintain that momentum against Sunderland. City are 4 for 4 in the league, most recently edging Manchester United 1-0 despite playing with 10 men after Phil Foden was dismissed in the first half.

The Etihad has also produced a favorable matchup in recent meetings. City won this corresponding fixture 3-0 last season, as Sunderland aren’t at their best in away games.

Furthermore, the visitors could also be feeling the effects of a demanding schedule. They arrive after a 1-0 Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar, with Régis Le Bris acknowledging fatigue from their recent fixtures that include a draining clash against Arsenal last week.

With City unbeaten in league play and Sunderland facing a challenging turnaround, Manchester City should be able to comfortably win this one.
