WTA Odds

Two of the most prominent tennis tournaments of the year are underway in New York City. In addition to the men’s side of the draw, the 2023 WTA US Open is delivering exciting Grand Slam action from Flushing Meadows. The best tennis betting sites have everything you need to wager on all the 2023 WTA US Open odds from qualifying matches until the Finals match.

On Saturday, September 9, one woman will be crowned the 2023 women’s US Open champion at Arthur Ashe Court. Iga Swiatek returns to Flushing Meadows seeking her second consecutive US Open title in New York.

The No. 1 ranked women’s player in the world is coming off a frustrating time at the 2023 Wimbledon tournament after losing to Elina Svitolina in the Quarterfinals.

Let’s check out Swiatek’s WTA US Open odds and what the rest of the field is looking like at Bovada. Additionally, head below to find our exclusive women’s US Open picks and predictions for the prestigious two-week tournament in NYC.

Swiatek is back at Flushing Meadows and she is favored to defend her US Open title. That being said, oddsmakers are not overly confident in Swiatek getting the job done. With +225 odds at US Open betting sites, Swiatek has an implied probability to win of 30.8 percent.

That is not very convincing, but her biggest rival at the US Open, Aryna Sabalenka, has +450 odds, with an implied probability of 18.2 percent. In other words, the women’s US Open odds indicate that Swiatek is still the woman to beat in 2023.

US Open Betting Favorites

Swiatek and Sabalenka are the players to watch on the women’s side at Flushing Meadows. However, there is a young, American woman playing with a plethora of confidence going into the US Open.

After breaking down Swiatek and Sabalenka, we will jump into our favorite US Open bets and top pick to win.

Iga Swiatek (+225)

Since winning her first Grand Slam at the French Open in 2020, it has become abundantly clear that Swiatek is a special player. Since then, Swiatek has won three more major titles to add to her resume.

If Ash Barty didn’t retire, would we be talking about Swiatek winning four major championships? Probably not, but it would have been an epic rivalry to have these two battling it out every month.

In 2023, Swiatek captured the French Open at Roland Garros. However, she did not achieve her goals at the Australian Open and Wimbledon. At Wimbledon, Swiatek suffered an upset in three sets against Svitolina in the Quarterfinals.

Grass courts have never really been her specialty, so getting back to a hard court is in her best interest. This season, Swiatek owns a record of 53-9, while going 27-6 on a hard court1. Despite not winning at Wimbledon, she has been the most consistent player on the WTA Tour.

Swiatek has not been able to maintain her record-breaking pace from last year, but she is still in tremendous form this season. However, recent lapses at the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Masters have bettors losing faith in her.

In the Semifinals of the Canadian Open, Swiatek was bounced in three sets by Jessica Pegula. One week later, she lost in the Semifinals again, this time to surging star Cori Gauff. Swiatek will have to dig deep across the next two weeks in order to win another Grand Slam in New York.

Aryna Sabalenka (+450)

The best Belarusian tennis player in the world started this year off with a bang, as she won the Australian Open. The 25-year-old from Minsk captured the first major championship of her career. She beat 2022 Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-4).

Well done by Sabalenka, but she didn’t capture her second major title at the French Open or Wimbledon. On July 13, Sabalenka was ousted in the Wimbledon Semifinals by Ons Jabeur (7-6, 4-6, 3-6).

Since then, the Belarusian star has not managed to regain her top form. She suffered earlier-than-expected losses in Canada and Cincinnati with the US Open on the horizon.

In 2023, Sabalenka has posted a record of 44-10 with three singles titles2. If she can add another major championship to her mantle, it would put a cherry on top of what has been a breakout year for Sabalenka.

We backed Sabalenka to win the 2023 Australian Open in January. However, we don’t have the same confidence in her at the US Open. Head below to see who we like to win at Flushing Meadows in 2023.

Best US Open Value Bet: Cori Gauff (+650)

If you want to bet on a player with oodles of confidence right now, it has to be Cori “Coco” Gauff. The 19-year-old is on the verge of breaking out, and we might be here to witness it at the US Open in 2023.

After beginning to work on her game with Brad Gilbert, Gauff has been in a much better position mentally and physically. Gauff has credited his laidback coaching style as a reason for her recent results3.

The American tennis star is coming off a win in Cincinnati over Karolina Muchova (6-3, 6-4) in straight sets. Before getting to Muchova, Gauff was even more impressive in a three-set win over Swiatek (7-6, 3-6, 6-4).

Additionally, on August 6, Gauff captured the Citi Open over Maria Sakkari (6-2, 6-3). The small changes that she has made to her game since bringing Gilbert on board have resulted in monumental results.

With +650 odds to win the 2023 WTA US Open title, Gauff has the best value on the board at Bovada. Along with being great value, she is one of the most likely winners of this tournament.

Best US Open Longshot Bet: Ons Jabeur (+2200)

Ons Jabeur is not a stranger to playing well in major championships. In 2022, Jabeur made it to the US Open Final. Swiatek was too much for Jabeur to close out, but it was still a solid effort for the 29-year-old Tunisian.

This was after Jabeur reached the 2022 Wimbledon Finals earlier in the year. It was the same result, though, as Jabeur was unable to close out Rybakina. Jabeur won the first set, but Rybakina took control of the rest of the match.

If that isn’t frustrating enough, Jabeur returned to the finals at Wimbledon this year. And this time, she was favored to win the match over Marketa Vondrousova. Jabeur was coming off a 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 win over Sabalenka in the Semifinals.

Jabeur is working hard, but has to learn how to finish strong. In 2023, she has been in good form with a record of 24-114.

For a player who always shows up to play at Grand Slams, Jabeur at +2200 is an excellent price to win the US Open at online betting sites.

2023 Women’s US Open Prediction

The WTA US Open tournament is expected to be a wide-open affair. Swiatek is the betting favorite, but she is not a guaranteed win. Rather than Swiatek, consider betting on Gauff at +650 odds.

Not only is she the best value on the board, but we believe she has a real, legitimate shot at getting this done. Undoubtedly, she is in the form of her career at the perfect moment.

Additionally, Gauff has confidence in her side after winning two tournaments over the past month. Prior to this stage in her career, she hasn’t looked nearly as confident or carefree. That has all changed with Gilbert’s guidance.

Also, you have to like the fact that the home crowd is going to be with Gauff. She has home-court advantage of sorts at Flushing Meadows. In a small upset, look for Gauff to win another tournament, this time the first major title of her career.
