WTA Wimbledon 2025 Winner Odds: Sabalenka Strikes in London?

Aryna Sabalenka (+185)

Sabalenka has experienced major highs and lows this season. For her standards, I’d say it’s mostly been lows. The three-time major winner hasn’t captured a tournament title since coming out on top in the Madrid Open on May 3.

She’s gone three straight tournaments on the losing side, including a defeat to Coco Gauff in the final of the French Open. Most recently, the 27-year-old from Minsk suffered a loss in the semifinals to Marketa Vondrousova in Berlin at the Grass Court Championships.

With Gauff out of the tournament after a huge upset versus unranked Dayana Yastremska, that’s one tough foe Sabalenka doesn’t have to worry about.

The favorite avoided upsets in her opening matches at Wimbledon. She looked like a different player than in Berlin.

Sabalenka cleared Carson Branstine and Marie Mouzkova in straight sets without any resistance. Despite some hiccups this year, Sabalenka still sports a record of 45-8 and 4-1 on grass courts. Since 2021, Sabalenka is 22-9 on a grass surface, which is a decent record.

She is playing with plenty of confidence and may have discovered her stroke again, which doesn’t look good for the rest of the field!

Elena Rybakina (+375)

Following Sabalenka, the women’s Wimbledon betting odds suggest that Rybakina has the next likely chance to win. The 27-year-old Kazakhstani won Wimbledon in 2022 for the first major championship of her career.

The No. 11 ranked player in the world hasn’t managed to clinch a second Grand Slam, though. She’s routinely one of the top favorites in tournaments but fails to meet the expectations.

Nevertheless, Rybakina has won 11 singles tournaments, the last one on May 24 in Strasbourg, France. Finding that level of consistency has proven to be difficult, however. She reached the quarterfinals at the Grass Court Championships but lost in three sets to Sabalenka.

Rybakina has handled grass matches pretty well throughout his career but has been unable to match that unbelievable run in 2022. Over the last three years, Rybakina has recorded a mark of 15-6 in 21 matches on a grass surface.

She opened the tournament with a simple 6-2, 6-1 cakewalk over Elina Avanesyan. That was an impressive performance, but Rybakina has been so inconsistent that she is hard to trust for your WTA Wimbledon 2025 picks!

Iga Swiatek (+600)

Writing off a player as talented as Swiatek wouldn’t be smart. She has won five major titles in her career and no one will be happy to see her other side of the court. Swiatek isn’t having her best year on the WTA Tour, though.

The 24-year-old started the season in disappointing fashion with a loss to Madison Keys in the semifinals at the Australian Open. After losing seven more tournaments, she fell in the French Open against Sabalenka to continue the slide.

Clay courts have historically been her best surface. Swiatek won four straight French Opens before coming up short in the semifinals this past June. Additionally, she hasn’t won a tournament since failing a drug test in August. Mentally, Swiatek hasn’t been in a good place, which has already impacted her form on the court.

While she has a respectable record of 13-4 on grass surfaces over the last three, Swiatek often doesn’t have the extra gear versus top-flight opponents, especially this year. She is coming off a tidy 7-5, 6-1 win over Polina Kudermetova in the opening round, but tougher matches await.

Even when Swiatek was at her peak, she wasn’t at her best Wimbledon and couldn’t finish strong. She came close to securing a win on the grass in her latest tournament in the Bad Homburg Open but fell to Jessica Pegula in the final.

In short, I’m not excited about backing Swiatek for my best women’s Wimbledon picks!
