2-Man Bobsleigh Odds and Prediction

ATHLETE ODDS
Johannes Lochner (GER) -250
Francesco Friedrich (GER) +200
Adam Armmour (GER) +800
Jinsu Kim (KOR) +4000
Brad Hall (GBR) +4000
Frank Del Duca (USA) +5000
Michael Vogt (SUI) +8000

The Germans are widely expected to dominate the bobsleigh podium in Cortina. In the 2-man event, Team Germany could realistically sweep gold, silver, and bronze, with pilots Johannes Lochner and Francesco Friedrich leading the charge.

Friedrich, one of the most accomplished bobsledders of all time, should contend for at least two medals across the events. In the 2-man, however, Lochner may have a slight edge. He and push partner Georg Fleischhauer, who took silver at Beijing 2022, look poised to go one step higher on the podium this time.

The 35-year-old pilot is coming off another 2-man overall World Cup title. He is the back-to-back champion after finishing an impressive 0.45 seconds ahead of second place Adam Ammour. The victory was Lochner’s sixth in seven World Cup races to comfortably win the 2-man discipline. He also clinched the combined men overall winner.

Lochner finished the World Cup campaign with 1,560 points as opposed to Friedrich’s 1,465 points. If Lochner and Fleischauer avoid any mishaps and maintain their top form, they are in firm control of their destiny. For my top Olympics bobsleigh betting picks in the 2-man race, Lochner is the best option!

The Bet
Johannes Lochner
-250

4-Man Bobsleigh Odds and Prediction

ATHLETE ODDS
Johannes Lochner (GER) -135
Francesco Friedrich (GER) +185
Adam Ammour (GER) +250
Brad Hall (GBR) +3300
Jinsu Kim (KOR) +4000
Markus Treichl (AUT) +5000
Patrick Baumgartner (ITA) +5000

Expect a sweep of the podium in the 4-man bobsleigh by the Germans as well. There isn’t much hope for the rest of the field, as Brad Hall of Great Britain has the next best odds at +3300! It should be a duel between Lochner and Friedrich’s teams.

In this event, Friederich is likely going to come closer than in the 2-man bobsleigh. There is unlikely to be much separation between Lochner and Friedrich. I’m looking forward to how it unfolds, and given the value on Friedrich at +185, he’s my pick to win the gold.

Friedrich is the defending back-to-back Olympic gold medal winner in the 4-man event. He won at Pyeongchang 2018 and followed up with another gold at Beijing 2022. In addition to his success at the Olympics, Friedrich has seven World Championship titles.

Note that Friedrich’s world titles have come in seven consecutive seasons, with his most recent gold in March 2025 at Lake Placid. Lochner’s form in the 4-man bobsleigh has improved significantly this season. He and his crew can’t be overlooked, and oddsmakers have installed him as the favorite.

Still, it’s tough to fade Friedrich as he chases an Olympic three‑peat in the 4‑man event. He also has recent success with a win in the first World Cup event in 2026. Lochner should apply plenty of pressure, but the price is simply too attractive on one of Germany’s most decorated bobsleigh pilots.

At +185, Friedrich’s team stands out as one of the best 2026 Winter Olympics bobsled betting picks.

The Bet
Francesco Friedrich
+185

Women’s Monobob Odds and Prediction

ATHLETE ODDS
Laura Nolte (GER) +110
Bree Walker (AUS) +300
Kaillie Armbruster Humphries (USA) +400
Kaysha Love (USA) +600
Lisa Buckwitz (GER) +850
Melanie Hasler (SUI) +2500
Elana Meyers Taylor (USA) +3300

Yet another German slider is favored to strike gold at Milano Cortina 2026. In women’s monobob (single‑pilot bobsleigh), Laura Nolte opens as a +110 favorite to stand atop the podium, with Australia’s Bree Walker and American Kaillie Humphries expected to apply serious pressure.

Humphries is an all-time great of the sport as she gears up for her sixth Olympics. She won 2-woman bobsleigh gold in 2010 and 2014 with Team Canada, then added monobob gold at Beijing 2022 for Team USA, becoming the first woman to win Olympic gold for two different nations.

Having said that, Humphries has likely been passed by Nolte in 2026. Nolte has started the year on fire and is looking to add more Olympic gold to her collection after winning in 2-man bobsleigh in 2022. She is on the heels of a fantastic campaign to notch the overall World Cup title in the 2-woman bobsleigh.

Nolte won the final for the 2025-26 World Cup season while breaking the track and start record in Altenberg. In November, she dominated on this track in Cortina in a World Cup race, which included a track record in her second heat. She would ultimately proceed to win the overall women’s World Cup monobob title in January.

With the 27-year-old in peak form right now, she is the best bet to win Olympic gold in the monobob.

The Bet
Laura Nolte
+110
