Week 2 of Beat the Geek is complete, and the Geek has its work cut out for it as the NFL prepares for Week 3. However, two of our players were locked in a dead heat, tiebreaker and all!

Beat the Geek Week 2 Results and Winner
Unlike last week, when we had a clear winner with no tiebreaker, two players came out on top in Week 2.
“aposulli” and “oldrep” were tied with four other players with matching 11-4 records. But only “aposulli” and “oldrep” got the tiebreaker question correct to split the $500 weekly prize!
The tiebreaker question was “what will be the total rushing yards in Monday Night Football?”. The actual answer was 215, while the two winners both guessed 199. For further context, there were also guesses of 236, 249, 253, and 300.
A total of 262 players finished had more wins than the Geek in Week 2 to show off some impressive NFL handicapping skills, and receive an entry to the Grand Prize, which is an NFL trip for two in 2027.
How Did the Geek Do in Week 2?
The Geek finished 5-10 in Week 2, and now sits with a 14-17 overall record ahead of Week 3. That is a winning percentage of 45.2%. Not an ideal start from the Geek, but it’s still early with plenty of time to go on a run!
Don’t forget that Beat the Geek is not a sprint, but a marathon. In fact, it’s more like the Tour de France: even a single weekly win is enough for a prize of $500 and an entry for the Grand Prize, so don’t forget to submit your picks regularly.
