While their 31-7 record shows that they aren’t unbeatable, and they might be slightly overvalued due to their First Stand title, I understand why this is the betting favorite to win.

Powerhouse mid laner Zeka is the engine that is the catalyst for HLE. Known for his high mechanical ceiling and a clutch factor that shines brightest on the international stage, Zeka acts as the primary force for the team’s mid-game map control.
Flanked by a newly reinforced capable roster featuring the likes of Zeus in the top lane and Gumayusi in the bot lane, HLE possesses a lineup of world-class threats. My chief concern with HLE is that they don’t have experience together as a team in this tournament. With the added pressure of playing in South Korea, it should be interesting.
I foresee Hanwha Life Esports’ time to come in the future, but they will likely swing and miss while gaining valuable experience as a team.
T1 (+300)

Their 20-7 match record reflects a highly successful but intensely evolutionary 2026 season. Following their historic run late last year, the off-season brought massive structural changes to the legendary organization.
Adjusting to a reshuffled lineup that brought in Doran in the top lane and the young prodigy Peyz in the bot lane, T1 has spent the first half of the year fine-tuning their chemistry. On November 9, 2025, T1 won a historic third consecutive World Championship. However, it’s been a while since claiming the LoL MSI title in 2017.

Because of their #2 seeding, T1’s road to the trophy is easily the most grueling of the top-tier favorites. They must fight their way through the newly formatted Play-In Stage, where they open up against North America’s Team Liquid. With only a single team allowed to advance out of the Play-Ins to the Bracket Stage, T1 has zero room for early errors.
However, if Faker and his squad successfully find their rhythm in the opening stage, they will enter the Main Event dangerous and fully capable of capturing another international trophy on home soil. The way I see it, T1 cruises past the Play-In and still ranks as one of the best LoL MSI picks despite a tougher road ahead.
2026 LoL MSI Predictions and Betting Pick
For betting on the 2026 LoL MSI, I expect a South Korean team to stand tall on home soil. T1 and Hanwha Life Esports are at the top of my shortlist as the best outright winner picks. You can back the LCK region to win, but at around even money there isn’t much value there.
