Week 17 kicks off with three divisional games on Christmas. Dallas takes on Washington, Minnesota hosts Detroit, and the Broncos close their season series with the Chiefs in KC. All three road teams are favored by 6 or more points on Thursday.

There are two games on Saturday, too, including a pivotal matchup between the Texans and the Chargers. LA is a 2-point home favorite in this battle of prospective playoff teams.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Dallas Cowboys -6.5 (-115) -300 Over 51 (-110)
Washington Commanders +6.5 (-105) +250 Under 51 (-110)

This year’s NFL Christmas Day schedule opens with an NFC East battle between the Cowboys and the Commanders. At the beginning of the year, this looked like one of the marquee matchups of the season.

Unfortunately, both teams have already been eliminated from playoff contention. Also, injuries could force the Commanders to start Josh Johnson, their third-string QB.

With that in mind, it is not surprising that Dallas is a 6.5-point favorite on Thursday, according to top NFL betting sites.

The Cowboys dominated the Commanders when they met in Jerry’s World early this season. Dallas won that game 44-22, and the Cowboys racked up over 400 yards of total offense.

Despite their three-game skid, the Cowboys are the clear favorite in this game. Dallas’s defense should have a much-needed bounce-back game against the struggling Commanders’ offense, and the Cowboys can cover on the road.

Cowboys vs. Commanders NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Dallas Cowboys -6.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Dallas Cowboys (-300)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 51 (-110)

Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Detroit Lions -6 (-110) -270 Over 44 (-115)
Minnesota Vikings +6 (-110) +220 Under 44 (-105)

The middle game on the Christmas Day schedule will also be affected by QB injuries. Minnesota’s J.J. McCarthy injured his throwing hand on Sunday, and his status is in doubt on a short week.

With McCarthy out and Carson Wentz on IR, the Vikings will turn to Max Brosmer. The rookie started one game this season, and Minnesota lost 26-0 against Seattle.

Detroit have their own issues and face playoff elimination with a loss this week. The Lions lost to Minnesota earlier this season, but they are 6-point road favorites in the rematch this week.

Minnesota has quietly won three straight games, but the offense will be in trouble if McCarthy is out. Brosmer had one of the worst games of any QB this season in his previous start, and Detroit will be a tough challenge for the rookie.

The Lions should win, but Minnesota can cover the spread on Thursday if McCarthy is available.

Lions vs. Vikings NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Minnesota Vikings +6 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Detroit Lions (-270)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 44 (-105)

Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Denver Broncos -13 (-105) -900 Over 36.5 (-105)
Kansas City Chiefs +13 (-115) +575 Under 36.5 (-115)

The finale of Thursday’s Christmas Day slate is an AFC West showdown between the Broncos and the Chiefs. Unfortunately for Chiefs fans, they will also be relying on a third-string QB.

Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL in Week 15, and his backup, Gardner Minshew, suffered a season-ending knee injury last week. So, KC will start Chris Oladokun at quarterback for this prime-time holiday matchup.

Oladokun has never started in the NFL, and all 16 of his pass attempts in his four-year career came last week after Minshew left the game with his injury. The former seventh-round pick faces a Denver defense that will be looking to prove a point after it was embarrassed at home last week.

The Broncos are 13-point favorites this week on the road. Kansas City has scored 13 or more points or more once in its last three games, and its offense should be even worse with a third-stringer under center. Denver should win and cover in this divisional game.

Broncos vs. Chiefs NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Denver Broncos -13 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Denver Broncos (-900)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 36.5 (-105)

Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Chargers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Houston Texans +2 (-110) +110 Over 39.5 (-110)
Los Angeles Chargers -2 (-110) -130 Under 39.5 (-110)

Saturday’s matchup between the Texans (10-5) and the Chargers (11-4) will have major playoff implications. Both teams are trying to win their divisions, and, with varying degrees of help, either Houston or LA could still win the number one seed in the AFC.

This is also a playoff rematch from last year, and a potential preview of a postseason game this year. Houston is a 2-point underdog at SoFi this weekend.

The Texans were also an underdog when these teams met in the playoffs last season. Houston’s defense picked off Justin Herbert four times in its upset win. The Texans’ defense is still great, but LA’s defensive unit has improved, too.

Los Angeles has injuries along the offensive line, which will be tough to overcome. However, the Chargers’ defense will also present a tough challenge for Houston, who have struggled offensively all year.

Stylistically, a tight matchup with limited scoring should favor the Texans’ top-ranked defense over LA this weekend.

Texans vs. Chargers NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Houston Texans +2 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Houston Texans (+110)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 39.5 (-110)

Baltimore Ravens vs. Green Bay Packers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Baltimore Ravens +3 (-105) +145 Over 40.5 (-110)
Green Bay Packers -3 (-115) -170 Under 40.5 (-110)

The Ravens and Packers square off in Green Bay in a cross-conference clash with major playoff implications. Adding to the pressure of this game are the injuries to both teams’ starting quarterbacks.

Lamar Jackson exited last week’s loss to New England with a back injury and is questionable this week. Likewise, Jordan Love left the Packers’ Week 16 loss with a concussion and could miss this week’s game.

The Packers are 3-point home favorites in a must-win game that could be determined by backup quarterbacks.

Baltimore would be a live dog if Jackson is healthy enough to play. However, if he misses this game, then the Ravens will be in serious trouble against the Packers’ defense.

Green Bay is top 10 in total YPG allowed (310.6) and PPG allowed (20.2). Their defense should allow them to defend their home turf even if Love is forced to miss this game with a concussion on a short week.

Ravens vs. Packers NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Baltimore Ravens +3 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Green Bay Packers (-170)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 40.5 (-110)

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Jacksonville Jaguars -6.5 (-110) -285 Over 48 (-110)
Indianapolis Colts +6.5 (-110) +235 Under 48 (-110)

The AFC South title could be on the line this week in Indianapolis. After a 7-1 start, the Colts have lost six of their last seven, including five games in a row.

Jacksonville, on the other hand, has reeled off six straight wins, including a victory over Indy in Week 14. A Jacksonville win and a Houston loss would allow the Jags to clinch the AFC South title. The Jags are laying 6.5 points as a road favorite in Indianapolis this week.

Indianapolis does not have a good answer at quarterback this week. Philip Rivers was a nice story, but there is little reason to start the 44-year-old this week. Rookie Riley Leonard, on the other hand, has played in three games this season but has not started a game yet in the NFL.

Whichever QB is under center will face a Jags defense that has played lights out recently. Jacksonville has allowed more than 20 points just once in its six-game winning streak. The Jags’ defense has also forced 28 turnovers, second-most in the league, and will be a big part of the team’s win this week.

Jaguars vs. Colts NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Jacksonville Jaguars -6.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Jacksonville Jaguars (-285)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 48 (-110)

Arizona Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Bengals Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Arizona Cardinals +7 (-105) +270 Over 53 (-110)
Cincinnati Bengals -7 (-115) -340 Under 53 (-110)

Cincinnati ended a two-game losing streak with a 45-21 drumming of the Dolphins in Miami. The Bengals are one of the biggest favorites of Week 17, by 7 points at home against the visiting Cardinals.

Arizona has lost seven straight games but stayed competitive in most of them. Trey McBride, arguably the best tight end in the NFL, should feast against a Bengals’ defense that has been historically bad against TEs this year.

Cincy have allowed 1,362 yards and 15 TDs on 105 catches to TEs this season. The Bengals’ passing offense has been bad overall, too, allowing 246.8 passing YPG, fourth-most in the league, and 31 passing TDs, the second-most.

McBride has 109 catches for 1,098 yards and 10 TDs this season, all team highs. Simply put, the Bengals will be in trouble this weekend if they do not find a way to slow down McBride.

On the bright side, Cincy should be able to focus its defense on stopping McBride, as the Cards’ offense has few other threats on it. The Bengals should win, but a big day from McBride should help the Arizona cover the spread.

Cardinals vs. Bengals NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Arizona Cardinals +7 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Cincinnati Bengals (-340)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 53 (-110)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Pittsburgh Steelers -4 (-110) -225 Over 34.5 (-110)
Cleveland Browns +4 (-110) +185 Under 34.5 (-110)

Pittsburgh’s surprising upset of Detroit moved the Steelers within one win of the AFC North title. The Steelers can clinch the division with a win this week, but they will have to do it without their best wide receiver.

DK Metcalf was suspended for two games for his altercation with a fan during Pittsburgh’s win on Sunday. Despite Metcalf’s absence, the Steelers are 4-point favorites on the road in Cleveland this weekend.

The Browns’ rushing attack and defense kept them in last week’s 23-20 loss to Buffalo. Cleveland lost, but they easily covered the spread. They should be able to use a similar formula to cover against this week.

Pittsburgh’s run defense has stepped up at times, including holding the Lions to 15 total rushing yards last week. However, the Steelers have allowed over 113 rushing YPG on average, including multiple games with over 200 yards allowed on the ground.

Cleveland could also make history this week if and when Myles Garrett breaks the sack record. A motivated Browns team looking to play spoiler can cover this week against the Steelers.

Steelers vs. Browns NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Cleveland Browns +4 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Pittsburgh Steelers (-225)
  • Over/Under Bet: Under 34.5 (-110)

New Orleans Saints vs. Tennessee Titans Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
New Orleans Saints -2.5 (-120) -150 Over 39 (-110)
Tennessee Titans +2.5 (+100) +130 Under 39 (-110)

The Saints have reeled off three straight wins, setting the stage for a much better season in 2026. This week, New Orleans (5-10) heads to Tennessee to face the Titans (3-12), who are coming off an upset win over the Chiefs.

Tennessee will need to pull off another upset to win this weekend, as they enter this one as 2.5-point home underdogs.

The Titans have won two of their last three games, but those wins came against Cleveland and a demoralized Chiefs team. On the other hand, the Saints were far from world beaters for most of the season.

Tennessee’s rushing game has been a big part of its recent success, with Tony Pollard topping 100 rushing yards in three straight games. If he can do it again against New Orleans, who allow over 126 rush YPG, then Tennessee could secure another home upset on Sunday.

Saints vs. Titans NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Tennessee Titans +2.5 (+100)
  • Moneyline Bet: Tennessee Titans (+130)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 39 (-110)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Miami Dolphins Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -5.5 (-110) -240 Over 45.5 (-115)
Miami Dolphins +5.5 (-110) +200 Under 45.5 (-105)

Tampa Bay lost a crucial game last week to Carolina, putting their divisional hopes in jeopardy. Now, the Buccaneers, who started 5-1, need to win out to secure the NFC South crown.

The Bucs take on the Dolphins in Miami, and Tampa Bay is a 5.5-point road favorite in South Beach.

Miami’s four-game winning streak has turned into back-to-back losses to the AFC North. On the bright side, Quinn Ewers completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 260 yards in his professional debut last week.

Tampa Bay’s pass defense is not as bad as Cincinnati’s, but it is not much better. So, Ewers should have another productive day as he continues to try to find his footing in the pros.

That being said, it will be the running game that determines the winner of this game. Miami’s best path to success this season has been leaning on its rushing attack. If the Bucs cannot slow down De’Von Achane, they will lose on the road again this week.

Buccaneers vs. Dolphins NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Miami Dolphins +5.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Miami Dolphins (+200)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 45.5 (-115)

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
New England Patriots -13.5 (-110) -950 Over 42.5 (-115)
New York Jets +13.5 (-110) +600 Under 42.5 (-105)

New England’s comeback win over the Ravens on Sunday Night Football moved the Patriots one step closer to winning the AFC East. If the Pats win this week, they will clinch their first division title since the Brady Era.

The Patriots are 13.5-point favorites against the Jets in MetLife. New York lost 29-6 in New Orleans last week in Brady Cook’s second career start. The Jets have lost by at least 24 points in both of Cook’s starts, and the rookie is expected to start again this week.

In addition to winning the AFC East, the Pats need to win this week to keep pace in the race for the AFC’s number one seed.

New England has plenty of motivation, even against the Jets, one of the NFL’s worst teams. The Pats should win and cover against a New York team that has a -144 point differential, the third-worst in the league.

Patriots vs. Jets NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: New England Patriots -13.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: New England Patriots (-950)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 42.5 (-115)

Seattle Seahawks vs. Carolina Panthers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Seattle Seahawks -7 (-115) -340 Over 42.5 (-110)
Carolina Panthers +7 (-105) +270 Under 42.5 (-110)

Two division leaders square off this weekend in Charlotte. The Seahawks (12-3), who have a league-best +164 point differential, take on the Panthers (8-7).

Carolina helped the Seahawks earn the top spot in the West by beating the Rams in Week 13. Seattle capitalized on that outcome by beating the Rams in a shootout on TNF. Now, Seattle will try to clinch the division with a win over the Panthers.

The Panthers are 5-2 at home, including a massive win over the Buccaneers last week. However, Bryce Young and company are 7-point underdogs this week against Seattle.

Seattle is 6-1 on the road this season and is 13-2 since the start of last season. Carolina has exceeded expectations and should cover the spread, but the Seahawks will pick up the victory on Sunday.

Seahawks vs. Carolina NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Carolina Panthers +7 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Seattle Seahawks (-340)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 42.5 (-110)

New York Giants vs. Las Vegas Raiders Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
New York Giants +1.5 (-110) +100 Over 42.5 (-105)
Las Vegas Raiders -1.5 (-110) -120 Under 42.5 (-115)

Two teams picking in the top 10 of the 2026 draft square off this week in Las Vegas. The Giants (2-13) put their nine-game losing streak on the line against the Raiders (2-13), who have also lost nine in a row.

Someone has to win this game and hurt their draft stock. The Raiders are 1.5-point favorites at home for this battle of two-win teams.

The Raiders finally put Ashton Jeanty in a position to succeed last week, and the rookie running back rewarded them for it. Las Vegas lost 23-21, but Jeanty had 188 total yards and two scores while leading the team in rushing and receiving.

Jeanty should eat again this week against a Giants’ defense that allows 373 YPG, the fourth-most in the NFL, including over 150 rushing YPG. However, the Giants and Jaxson Dart can pull out the upset win in Sin City against an abysmal Raiders team.

Giants vs. Raiders NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: New York Giants +1.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: New York Giants (+100)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 42.5 (-105)

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Buffalo Bills Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Philadelphia Eagles +2.5 (-110) +120 Over 44 (-110)
Buffalo Bills -2.5 (-110) -140 Under 44 (-110)

The Eagles and the Bills face off this week in Buffalo in a major showdown between Super Bowl hopefuls. Philadelphia is a 2.5-point road underdog in Orchard Park this week.

Buffalo struggled against the Browns last week, and Josh Allen hurt his ankle. Allen avoided a major injury, but the Bills’ offense will fall apart if the reigning MVP is too hurt to play at his best this week.

Adding to the Bills’ struggles is their run defense. Buffalo gives up 144.3 YPG on the ground, the third-most in the NFL. Philly’s rushing attack has been a poor imitation of its record-breaking performance from last year, but Saquon Barkley should have a great game this week.

The Eagles’ run defense gives up more than 120 YPG, which will be an issue against the Bills, who lead the NFL with 158.9 rushing YPG. However, if Allen is limited, the Bills’ rushing offense will not be nearly as productive, which could open the door for the Eagles to pull off the upset.

Eagles vs. Bills NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Philadelphia Eagles +2.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Philadelphia Eagles (+120)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 44 (-110)

Chicago Bears vs. San Francisco 49ers Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Chicago Bears +3 (-105) +150 Over 52.5 (-110
San Francisco 49ers -3 (-115) -175 Under 52.5 (-110)

San Francisco is the host city for Super Bowl 60, and the 49ers can clinch the NFC’s number one seed if they win out. On paper, the 49ers can win the Lombardi by reeling off five straight home wins.

Winning out will be easier said than done, especially with the NFC North-leading Bears coming to town on SNF. The 49ers are 3-point favorites at home against Chicago for this prime-time matchup.

San Fran’s defense has played well despite its injuries, but it has not produced sacks or turnovers. The 49ers are last in the league with only 18 sacks and are tied for 22nd with 16 total turnovers forced this year.

Chicago, conversely, leads the league in interceptions (21) and total turnovers (31) forced. The Bears also have one of the most productive offenses, racking up 371.1 total YPG and 25.8 PPG.

If Caleb Williams can and the offense can build off their comeback win last week, they can take down the 49ers this week.

Bears vs. 49ers NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Chicago Bears +3 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Chicago Bears (+150)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 52.5 (-110)

Los Angeles Rams vs. Atlanta Falcons Preview: Odds, Betting Lines, Best Bets

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Los Angeles Rams -8 (-115) -410 Over 49.5 (-110)
Atlanta Falcons +8 (-105) +305 Under 49.5 (-110)

The final Monday Night Football game of the regular season pits the Rams (11-4) against the Falcons (6-9) in Atlanta. LA have extra time to prepare for this game after their TNF loss last week.

Atlanta is 2-4 at home and has a -53 point differential this season. The Rams, conversely, have a +158 point differential, the second-best in the league.

The Rams are the better team, so it is not surprising that LA is an 8-point road favorite. However, three of the Rams’ four losses this year have come on the road. Atlanta has also won back-to-back games and three of its last five matchups.

Los Angeles should win this game to keep pressure on Seattle in the NFC West race. However, the Falcons have been better with Kirk Cousins under center, and they can cover the 8-point spread on MNF this week.

Rams vs. Falcons NFL Week 17 Best Bets:

  • Points Spread: Atlanta Falcons +8 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Rams (-405)
  • Over/Under Bet: Over 49.5 (-110)
