Portland Fire (+12) vs. New York Liberty (-108)
Portland Fire +12 is the pick against the New York Liberty on Monday.
Portland (3-3) enters this matchup with some real momentum after rolling past Toronto 99-80 on Saturday. The Fire shot 50% from the field and were excellent from deep, knocking down 11-of-23 attempts from three-point range. Emily Engstler led the way with 16 points, while Carla Leite and Bridget Carleton each added 15 in a balanced offensive effort.

New York (3-3) still has the higher ceiling, but the Liberty are not quite clicking yet. They fell 91-76 at home against Dallas on Sunday, shooting just 39% overall and 8-of-26 from beyond the arc. Satou Sabally (20 points) and Sabrina Ionescu (11 points) are back in the mix, but this rotation still looks like it needs time.
With Portland playing confident basketball and New York sorting out its best lineup, the Fire are the side to trust with 12 points at WNBA betting sites.
Connecticut Sun vs. Golden State Valkyries (-13) (-105)
Connecticut (1-6) continues to look like one of the weakest teams in the league through the opening stretch of the season. The Sun dropped another game on Friday in a 77-59 loss against Seattle, managing just 59 points in a sluggish offensive performance. Diamond Miller led the team with 13 points, but Connecticut still ranks last in the WNBA in scoring per game, and there has been very little consistency on that end of the floor.

Golden State (3-2) comes into this matchup off a 90-82 road loss to Indiana, but there were still positives to take away. Tiffany Hayes scored 19 points while Kaitlyn Chen added 18 as the Valkyries’ bench unit outplayed the starters and kept the team competitive throughout the night.
This sets up as a strong bounce-back spot for Golden State at home. Connecticut has struggled badly to generate offense, and that is a dangerous issue against a Valkyries’ team that is first in the league in points allowed per game. Expect Golden State to control the game and cover the number.
