Aryna Sabalenka (+250) leads the way, and the Belarusian star has an implied probability of 28.6% to win Wimbledon. However, she isn’t running away from the field. Iga Świątek (+325) is next with a 23.5% implied probability. Elena Rybakina (+450) isn’t far behind with an 18.2% winning chance, and Coco Gauff (+600) brings up the rear of the favorites with a 14.3% implied probability.
Sabalenka’s odds to capture the women’s Wimbledon crown have improved over the last two weeks. On June 12, Sabalenka was +300, with a 25% chance, so her probability of winning has increased by more than 3%.
Additionally, Gauff has witnessed a nice boost from bettors. The American was previously +800 to win, so her odds of winning have gotten better by roughly 3%, too.
The days of the Williams sisters dominating the women’s draw at Wimbledon are long gone. Between 2000 and 2016, Serena (seven) and Venus (five) won 12 times. The great Steffi Graf won seven in nine years between 1988 and 1996.

Wimbledon Women’s 2024 Top Favorites
While the women’s French Open odds had two players ahead of the pack, Wimbledon has four included in the group of top favorites!
Let’s look into the chances of the leading players at Wimbledon and analyze why they’ll be very popular at the best sports betting sites.
Aryna Sabalenka (+250)
Sabalenka has four Grand Slams in singles, winning back-to-back Australian Opens in 2023 and 2024. She has reached the semifinals in her last two trips to Wimbledon in 2021 and 2023 (Russian and Belarusian players were banned in 2022 because of political reasons).

The World #3 had been to six straight Grand Slam semifinals before losing in the quarterfinals at the French Open. Sabalenka fought gamely, but an illness didn’t allow her to be at her best. She did get attention for her dancing skills in Paris, though.
The 26-year-old is coming off an appearance in the Grass Court Championships in Berlin. After making easy work of Daria Kasatkina in the opening match, 6-1, 6-4, Sabalenka withdrew in the next round against Anna Kalinskaya after going down 1-5 in the opening set.
For the first time in her career, she retired from a match due to an injury. Sabalenka blames shoulder pain for pulling out of the tournament and poor form in the first set versus Kalinskyaya. Nevertheless, this does not appear to be a long-term injury, and she should be fine for Wimbledon.
In any event, she has struggled to get the job done when it matters the most on the grass, which is enough of a reason to avoid her as a favorite.
Iga Świątek (+325)
Swiatek recently rolled to her fourth French Open win in five years, losing just one set along the way in 2024. She also won the 2022 US Open. However, outside the four wins at Roland Garros and one win at Flushing Meadows, the Polish #1 has just one other Grand Slam semifinal appearance. That came at the 2022 Australian Open.

Swiatek did not participate in any Wimbledon prep tournaments last year. She was originally scheduled to play in the Bad Homburg Open, but ultimately ended up passing on a warm-up event. It likely would have served Swiatek well to play in at least one grass surface tournament before Wimbledon given her struggles.
Her quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon in 2023 was her best result on the grass. It is worrisome that she has never reached a final on this surface. Swiatek is good enough to excel everywhere, but she needs more time to improve on grass, so I still don’t trust her on green courts.
Elena Rybakina (+450)
Rybakina won her lone Grand Slam title here in 2022, and then made the final of the 2023 Australian Open. She reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon 2023 and the 2024 French Open, but Rybakina also bowed out in the second round of this year’s AO.

This stat is impressive for anybody.
But to put it into perspective, she had to withdraw from both Indian Wells and Rome due to illness.

The Kazakhstani star can be inconsistent, which makes it difficult to nail down her chances at the All England Club. She leads the tour in aces and wins 78.1% of her service games.
On top of that, she has a powerful ground game and loves playing on grass. Even considering her inconsistencies, Rybakina is not a bad option at +450. However, I see better options for your Wimbledon women’s singles best bets.
Similar to Sabalenka, Rybakina bowed out of the Grass Court Championships. She won the tournament opener with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Veronika Kudermetova, but bowed out in the next round after getting behind 1-3 in the opening set.
Rybakina explained an illness was the reason for retiring in Berlin. Afterward, she declined to play her opening match in the Eastbourne International due to a schedule change. I would like to see Rybakina in stronger form and with a better mindset before considering backing her to win.
Coco Gauff (+800)
Gauff won the 2023 US Open for her first Grand Slam and has reached the semifinals of the first two 2024 Grand Slams. Wimbledon has been a problem for the 20-year-old, though, as she lost in the first round last year. Fourth-round appearances in 2019 and 2021 are her best performances so far.

However, the American is coming in with a ton of confidence. Gauff shared the French Open doubles’ title with Katerina Siniakova and played well in the single’s competition.
There is one glaring problem, though: the American leads the WTA Tour in double faults. Most recently, Gauff couldn’t overcome four double faults in the Grass Court Championships semifinals against Jessica Pegula.
Gauff lost in straight sets by a final of 5-7, 6-7, with the four double faults a large determining factor in her loss. You can’t really win on grass if you don’t serve well, so I don’t like Gauff’s chances of winning Wimbledon this year.
Wimbledon Women’s 2024 Sleepers
Two of these next three players are just outside the favored group, going by the odds to win the women’s Wimbledon tournament in 2024. However, they all have a solid chance of going all the way in the prestigious competition.

Jabeur has reached the final in each of the last two Wimbledon tournaments, losing to Rybakina in 2022 and Markéta Vondroušová in 2023. She also lost to Swiatek in the 2022 US Open final, showing excellent consistency over the past few years.
The 29-year-old Tunisian is ranked 10th in the world after a quarter-final run at the Roland Garros. She isn’t going to overpower you with her style, but Jabeur is an exciting player who will take risks on the tennis court
She also seems to love the atmosphere at Wimbledon, based on recent results. Last year, Jabeur defeated Rybakina and Sabalenka in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
Jabeur withdrew from her second-round match against Gauff in the Grass Court Championships after a 7-6(11-9) loss in the first set. That being said, the illness does not appear to be a serious concern. With such a wide open race, getting +1600 for a player of such caliber is definitely among the best bets for the women’s singles at Wimbledon.

Marketa Vondrousova had gotten past the fourth round in a Grand Slam just once before 2023, but she won Wimbledon last year! The previous deep run in a major resulted in an appearance in the 2019 French Open final, so she can be lethal when she gets it right!
Vondrousova, who has risen to a career-high sixth in the WTA rankings, has a patient game that serves her well at the All England Club. The 24-year-old Czech should be a threat once again, and the odds of +1400 make her an interesting choice.

If you’re looking for a true longshot, consider Madison Keys. She reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals in 2023. The American then went to the semifinals of the US Open, before losing in the third round at the French Open.
The American’s commanding baseline game will give her a chance, and she is 3-0 in grass finals on the WTA Tour. If Keys can hit top form for Wimbledon, she can be a dangerous opponent.
2024 Women’s Wimbledon Predictions and Betting Picks
Sabalenka, Swiatek and Rybakina are definitely favored for good reasons, but the odds for other players are better. I’m going to go for the value bet and suggest Ons Jabeur. She knows what she needs to do at Wimbledon, and won’t be scared against anyone in the later stages of the tournament.
The Tunisian star will be desperate to reach another final and win this one. Backing Jabeur at +1600 is an excellent pick, considering the lack of clear favorites for the title.
