Thursday Night Football Odds and Betting Lines for Week 9
The best NFL betting sites have a slew of Week 9 Thursday Night Football odds available for wagering in the Ravens vs. Dolphins matchup. The main markets, including the point spread, are on the board at most major sportsbooks.
Let’s delve into the Ravens vs. Dolphins lines and best Thursday Night Football bets below! The following TNF odds for Week 9 are courtesy of Lucky Rebel:
| TEAM | SPREAD | MONEYLINE | TOTAL |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baltimore Ravens | -7.5 (-110) | -410 | Under 49.5 (-115) |
| Miami Dolphins | +7.5 (-110) | +310 | Under 49.5 (-105) |
The Baltimore Ravens (-410) are heavy favorites to oust the Miami Dolphins outright on the moneyline. In short, the Ravens have an 80.4% implied probability to beat the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
They are also favored to cover the spread by more than a touchdown. If Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson officially receives the green light, then the line is expected to shift higher. As of Tuesday, it appears likely that Jackson will suit up for the Dolphins matchup on Thursday night.

TNF Football Prediction and Betting Pick: Ravens vs. Dolphins
Following a 30-16 blowout against the Chicago Bears, are the Ravens finally on track now? They have a lot of work ahead of them to turn their season around, but there is optimism in Baltimore that the win over the Bears was a turning point.
With QB Cooper Rush benched, Tyler Huntley took over the offense and provided a spark. Rush threw four interceptions in his last two starts, which prompted the switch to Huntley.
There was speculation that Jackson was going to start after he went through a full practice on Friday, but he was held out for at least one more week. On a short week, the belief is that Jackson was getting prepared for Week 9 against the Dolphins.
That’s bad news for the Dolphins, as Jackson has destroyed this team with 1,201 yards passing, 14 touchdowns, and one interception on 72.6% completions. This equates to an insane QB rating of 142.7 through four matchups. I’m confident that Jackson returns to the field and does big damage.

In particular, Jackson should rip past the Dolphins on the ground. Miami is allowing 145 yards rushing per game, for 28th in the NFL. Look for Jackson and RB Derrick Henry to roll over the Dolphins’ defense in this one. Overall, the Dolphins have conceded 26.9 points per game to rank 26th.
Along with Jackson nearing a return, the rest of the roster is getting much healthier. Multiple players returned to the practice field recently, including CB Marlon Humphrey, LB Roquan Smith, CB Chidobe Awuzie, LT Ronnie Stanley, and FB Patrick Ricard. For a team that wants to smash the ball on the ground, Ricard back on the field is much larger than it appears.
The Dolphins just beat the Atlanta Falcons, but I expect a letdown. Look for the Ravens to open this game up for a win and cover, so they are a strong option on the spread for your best Thursday Night Football picks!
Team TNF Prop Bets: Ravens vs. Dolphins
Leading online bookmakers Bovada and Lucky Rebel have various Thursday Night Football prop bets for the Ravens vs. Dolphins. Let’s delve into my top team props to open Week 9:
Points Range: 49 to 53 (+500)
The over/under for this matchup suggests we should see plenty of points on the scoreboard this evening. At 49.5 points, oddsmakers are expecting roughly 50 points between the Ravens and Dolphins.
This lines up nearly where I have this game finishing. While the Ravens are 14th, with 24.9 points per game, they should open the offense up with Jackson at the controls. I anticipate he’s going to take out some frustrations on the Dolphins in this one.
There are still holes in the Ravens’ secondary, but there should be enough firepower on the field to pull away. The way I see it, the Ravens are heading towards a 30-21 win or so, making the total points range prop between 49 and 53 points a top value bet at +500!
Race to 10 Points: Baltimore Ravens (-225)
- Baltimore Ravens (-225)
- Miami Dolphins (+163)
Look for the Ravens to fly out of the gates with Jackson in control of the offense again. The Ravens should be able to build on their strong performance from last week and get to the Dolphins early and often.
The Ravens went into halftime with a 16-0 lead on the Bears and cruised to a victory. Jackson should manage to get the Ravens out to an early lead and hold onto it for the remainder of the contest.
Note that the Dolphins are 22nd in the NFL, averaging 3.4 points per 1st quarter. Despite Jackson being injured with a hamstring injury, the Ravens have still scored more points with 3.7 points per 1st.
In other words, this prop should probably be closer to -300 in favor of the Ravens. I suggest the Ravens to win the race to 10 points for your Week 9 TNF best bets!
Best Thursday Night Football Player Props This Week
In addition to team props, consider adding a few TNF player prop bets to your Ravens vs. Dolphins card! There are a few plays that have caught my attention, so let’s analyze these Thursday Night Football picks below:
Total Passing Yards: Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) Over 221.5 (-115)
- Over 221.5 (-115)
- Under 221.5 (-115)
If the Dolphins are going to have a chance in this game, they need to allow QB Tua Tagovailoa to throw the ball. The Ravens are most likely going to get out to a quick start offensively, and Tagovailoa must keep pace.
Tagovailoa has passed for 1,518 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions on 68.8% completions. He is going to have opportunities against a shaky Ravens’ secondary. That was the concern for the Ravens last season, and they made some tweaks, but the defense can still be beaten through the air.

Baltimore ranks 28th in the league, with 250.7 yards passing against per game. They finished 27th last season, so the same issues persist. I don’t think Tagovailoa has the weapons to torch them for 300+ yards, but 230+ yards looks within reach.
I suggest Tagovailoa over 221.5 passing yards as one of the best Thursday Night Football betting picks!
Total Rushing Yards: Lamar Jackson (BAL) Over 35.5 (-115)
- Over 35.5 (-115)
- Under 35.5 (-115)
Jackson is likely to take control of this matchup with his arm and legs. He is coming back from a hamstring injury, but I expect him to test his wheels early. The Dolphins are susceptible to the run, and it’s a bad matchup with Henry and Jackson on the field at the same time.
Lamar Jackson traveled 75.9 yards on this 19-yard scramble.

Mike McDaniel’s squad has conceded 145 rushing yards per game and is near the back of the league. They did a good job holding the Falcons down, but that’s the first time we’ve seen much life from the Dolphins in the box. Jackson has steamrolled the Dolphins in his career, and that should continue on the ground.
The Ravens were cautious with returning Jackson to action. They wouldn’t put him back on the field if his hamstring wasn’t close to 100%. Before going down, Jackson was averaging 41.5 yards rushing per game, with 166 yards on 7.9 yards per carry.
Jackson over 35.5 rushing yards is one of the top TNF player props tonight!
Longest Rush: Derrick Henry (BAL) Over 19.5 (-115)
- Over 26.5 (-120)
- Under 26.5 (-110)
Henry is on track for a long run or two against the Dolphins’ defense. He is coming off back-to-back strong performances, as the Ravens’ running back gained 122 yards against the Rams and 71 yards versus the Bears last week.
After running for 169 yards in Week 1, Henry tailed off in the next four games but appears to be back on track. With the offense getting healthier, expect Henry to look more like his normal self in the coming weeks. As I noted, Ricard in the backfield has a huge impact on what the Ravens want to do running the football.
great job by Derrick Henry to stay patient on this Ravens zone run. Ends up going for 49 yards. pic.twitter.com/RaodLhgOQL

The Ravens can play more smashmouth football with Ricard, who made his season debut against the Bears. Henry should find a lane to rip off at least one run of at least 20 yards.
In review, side with Henry over 19.5 yards for the longest rush for your TNF player prop bets!
Thursday Night Football Parlay for Week 9
To wrap up your TNF betting card, consider including a parlay for a big payout! From the current list of available wagers at Bovada for Thursday Night Football, the best parlay is a prop play with all three player props.
In short, Tagovailoa over 221.5 passing yards, Jackson over 35.5 rushing yards, and Henry over 19.5 yards for the longest rush is our best TNF parlay bet in Week 9 for a big payout at +553 odds.
- Tagovailoa: Over 221.5 Passing Yards
- Jackson: Over 35.5 Rushing Yards
- Henry: Over 19.5 Yards Longest Rush
