The Premier League relegation odds for the 2025-26 season are led by the three promoted teams, Burnley, Sunderland, and Leeds. But will any of them survive, and if so, who will drop down to the Championship instead?
I’ll analyze the EPL relegation odds for the upcoming season, go through the main candidates, and share my Premier League relegation predictions for 2025-26!
2025-26 Premier League Relegation Odds
ТЕАМ | ODDS |
---|---|
Burnley | -300 |
Sunderland | -250 |
Leeds | +115 |
Wolverhampton | +300 |
Brentford | +300 |
West Ham | +550 |
Fulham | +700 |
Crystal Palace | +700 |
Everton | +700 |
Newly-promoted teams are usually favored to go right back to the Championship. So, it’s no surprise that Burnley (-300) is the favorite at soccer betting sites in the EPL relegation odds. They have an implied probability of 75%, just ahead of Sunderland (-250) at 71.4%. Fellow promotion team Leeds (+115) rounds out the top three at 46.5%.
Wolverhampton (+300) and Brentford (+300) are the two established Premier League teams that could take a tumble during the 2025-26 season. West Ham (+500) is next, while Fulham (+700), Crystal Palace (+700), and Everton (+700) offer solid returns on their EPL relegation betting odds.

Favorites in the Premier League Relegation Odds
Here are the most likely EPL relegation candidates according to the latest odds.
Burnley (-300)
Burnley is the definition of a “yo-yo club”: they’ve gone down to the Championship, and then came right back up to the Premier League a few times already. This is something they’ve done in each of the past four seasons.
They will be desperate stay up for a few years this time around, like Burnley did between 2016 and 2022. The team finished second in the Championship last season, so that’s a decent foundation.

Manager Scott Parker will have to be more practical than his predecessor, Vincent Kompany, who still had Burnley playing an attacking style when they were last in the Premier League. They could get away with that style in the Championship, but were overwhelmed in the top tier of English soccer.
Burnley also lost defender C.J. Egan-Riley, midfielder Josh Brownhill, and goalkeeper James Trafford is also gone. Aging Kyle Walker (who played with Parker at Tottenham) and Axel Tuanzebe have been brought in to try to keep Burnley going.
However, it’s going to be tough for the Clarets to score goals. Brownhill led the team with 18 goals, which puts a lot of pressure on midfielder Zian Flemming. A new signing, winger Jacob Bruun Larsen, and fellow forward Jaidon Anthony also have to chip in.
There will be problems on the other end as well, with Trafford going back to Manchester City.
I don’t believe Burnley is prepared to stay as of the start of the season, but I wouldn’t wager on their 2025-26 EPL relegation odds at -300. The price is too low and you never know.
Promoted teams usually stay up not because of big names, but because of strong organization and a clear plan.
Sunderland (-250)
Sunderland finished fourth in the Championship, getting promoted by beating Sheffield United 2-1 on a 95th-minute goal by Tom Watson! His goal put Sunderland back in the Premier League for the first time since 2017.
I was able to upload the winning goal for Sunderland scored by Tom Watson.

Sunderland sold Watson to Brighton and Hove Albion, and also sold Jobe Bellingham, brother of Real Madrid’s Jude, to Borussia Dortmund. But the team weren’t content to sit back and have splashed out a ton of money in an attempt to stay up.
Veteran midfielder Granit Xhaka returns to the Premier League, as the former Arsenal captain was bought from Bayer Leverkusen. Midfielder Enzo Le Fee stays with the team after arriving on loan from Roma in January, while 21-year-old midfielder Habib Diarra made a big-money move from Strasbourg.
Manager Regis Le Bris had a fantastic first season at Sunderland. But it’s a much different task now, and he’ll also have to rein in his offensive instincts. He’ll learn quickly that it’s a big jump from the Championship to the Premier League, so Le Bris will have to figure out when to be pragmatic, and when to attack.
I actually like Sunderland to stay up, and with the money they’ve spent, they almost have to. But this is a talented squad that doesn’t offer much value in the EPL relegation betting odds, as the Black Cats can survive!
Leeds (+115)
Leeds is back in the Premier League for the first time since 2023, and they won the Championship as they beat Burnley on goal difference. They didn’t spend as much as Sunderland, but Leeds did open up the checkbook for a few players.

Midfielders Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach could slot right into the team, although Ao Tanaka and captain Ethan Ampadu are still around. In goal, it looks like Lucas Perri will take the gloves from Illan Meslier, who has been up and down at Elland Road.
Manager Daniel Farke will need Joel Piroe to keep scoring goals for Leeds. He scored 19 goals last season, but will need to step up against better competition. Daniel James returns to the Premier League with Leeds, while Manor Solomon was recalled back to Tottenham after a terrific loan season.
The Whites will have their hands full trying to stay up, and at plus money, their Premier League relegation odds have some decent value!
More EPL Relegation Betting Candidates
Let’s take a look at two more Premier League relegation betting candidates for 2025-26, including one team that too many people ignore!
Wolverhampton (+300)
Wolves’ 2025-26 EPL relegation odds are worth a look after they sold their two best players, forward Matheus Cunha and defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, to Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively.
They did bring in forward Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo, while Jorgen Strand Larsen’s loan was made permanent from the same club. Jhon Arias joins from Fluminense after a great Club World Cup run.
I think Wolves have enough to stay up for another Premier League season. Manager Vitor Pereira will have a full season with the club after replacing Gary O’Neil in December 2024. He has a decent group of players despite losing Cunha and Ait-Nouri, so Wolves should be safe when it’s all said and done.
Brentford (+300)
I’m much more interested in Brentford’s Premier League relegation odds! The Bees are an extremely well-run club. But they lost a lot in the offseason as forward Bryan Mbeumo left for Manchester United, captain and midfielder Christian Norgaard is now at Arsenal.
Goalkeeper Mark Flekken is now at Bayer Leverkusen, and no keeper made more saves last season. But the biggest loss might be manager Thomas Frank, who is now in charge at Tottenham.
Keith Andrews was the set-piece coach at Brentford before getting this promotion. Frank had been at the club since October 2018. Andrews just started coaching in 2016, and only joined Brentford at the start of last season.
He has some big shoes to fill. Andrews will be counting heavily on keeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who left Liverpool due to a lack of playing time. Another former Liverpool player, midfielder Jordan Henderson, joins from Ajax and is 35 years old.
Forward Yoane Wissa is still with the club for now, but wants to leave for Newcastle. If he leaves, Brentford will have a tough time scoring goals, and they’ll be in big trouble!
Overall, there’s too much chaos around the club just before the start of the season, and that doesn’t bode well. Brenford might stay in the EPL, but I expect the team to be in the relegation battle until the every end of the season.
2025-26 Premier League Relegation Prediction and Betting Pick
Burnley and Leeds are in danger of going down, but the odds for both sides are way too low. Instead, my Premier League relegation prediction with the best value is Brentford at +300!
The Bees have been in the EPL for four years, but I believe their stint will end after Year 5. Losing Frank and their captain, Norgaard, could be a major shock to the team’s system. I also worry that Andrews has no experience as a manager and might be gone by Christmas if Brentford gets off to a terrible start.
I really like Brentford as a club, but I think the exits will be too much for them to overcome. Let’s back Brentford’s 2025-26 EPL relegation odds at +300!
