2023-24 English Premier League Title Odds and Predictions

EPL Odds

EPL betting sites have set their odds for the 2023-24 season and it’s fair to say everyone expects Manchester City to win the league again this year. It’s rare that a club is priced in the negative odds for the English league title. But City is so powerful that there appears to be little chance of anyone beating Pep Guardiola and his team to the trophy come May.

However, soccer betting sites have been setting their odds on a wide range of futures markets heading into the new season. The summer transfer window can greatly impact these odds because teams can gain strength or lose key players even after the season has started.

Still, there are plenty of bets to be placed over the course of the season, with sites offering live odds on all 380 Premier League games over the coming 38 games. It all starts again in August and the soccer odds suggest we could be in for a rollercoaster season.

The big focus for a time will be on who compete with City for the title. But, if we are to assume that City will eventually run clear of the rest, bettors will soon look at other props to make profit. This includes top goalscorer betting, which teams will be relegated, and who will finish in the top four.

Around 15 years ago, you could almost guarantee Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea would finish in the top four. That’s all changed now, with Manchester City, Tottenham, and Newcastle also gunning for the Champions League places. The competition is expected to be fierce. That’s good news for bettors seeking to take advantage of the chaos.

Below is an overview of the Premier League betting markets heading into the new season. If you want week by week advice on who to back, then check out our section on soccer betting tips.

EPL Betting Favorites

The following teams are considered among the betting favorites according to online betting sites:

Manchester City (-140)

No team has ever been priced in the negative to win the English Premier League. Even when Manchester United was at its peak in the late 1990s, sportsbooks refused to make them odds-on favorites. City, though, comes into this season having won the treble last term, and the team is strengthened by the arrival of defender Josko Gvardiol.

All attention will again be on Erling Haaland and whether he can break the goals record again. He scored 36 EPL goals last season, that’s almost one a game. Could he break 40 goals? With Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, and Phil Foden feeding him the ball, there’s no one better placed to break this barrier than the Norwegian.

Indeed, goals is what most bettors will be looking at during City games this season. There feels little points backing this team on the moneyline unless you add them to a parlay. The odds are just too short.

Arsenal (+450)

Arsenal gave it a real good go last season, pushed City until April, and then faded away. That is progress for the Gunners who, since the Invincibles season of 2004, have never managed to go past March without imploding. Can Mikel Arteta sustain the challenge this year? Arsenal has signed midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham in a $133m deal that, it is hoped, will perfect this Gunners team.

Armed with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and new boy Kai Havertz, Arsenal don’t lack offensive talent. The concern is at the back. Rice will help protect the defense, but over an entire season this is a big job for one man.

The English Premier League title odds suggest Arsenal is second favorite for the title. That might be a little generous when we see the investment going on at Newcastle, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Liverpool (+800)

Liverpool is another team whose odds are set perhaps more on optimism than reality. Yes, manager Jurgen Klopp has signed new talent in Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, and got rid of some dead wood. But the midfield is still an issue for Liverpool, and the defense proved flaky across all of last season.

Mohamed Salah is a magnificent footballe.r but is a year older now, and Darwin Nunez is yet to flourish at Anfield. This could be another testing season for the Reds. Liverpool is third favorites for the title. but those odds could balloon quickly if results go wrong at the start of the campaign.

2023-24 Premier League Best Betting Value Bet: Manchester United 1st or 2nd (+350)

If you’re looking for a value bet then BetUS has a prop on which team will win the league without Manchester City. Effectively, you’re betting on who will finish either first or, if City win it, second.

Manchester United stands out as the value bet here. At +350, the Red Devils are at longer odds than Arsenal or Liverpool, but are in a far better position to challenge. New signings Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund add to a squad that is developing nicely. What’s more, boss Erik Ten Hag has had an uninterrupted season to plan his attack on the championship.

United is not expected to win the league this season. However, it feels like their ceiling is higher than Arsenal and Liverpool. City is still the team to beat, but bettors should keep an eye on the other Manchester club, too.

2023-24 Premier League Best Longshot Bet: Newcastle win the league (+1400)

Newly-minted Newcastle have millions of Saudi dollars to spend in the transfer window and this team is already getting stronger. Eddie Howe arguably overachieved when he secured a top-four finish last season. The remit is to do the same again, but bettors will look at Newcastle’s title odds with intrigue.

At +1400, those English Premier League champion odds are only going to shrink if Newcastle gets off to a good start. The Magpies are due to face City in Gameweek Two, and Liverpool eight days later. Escape without defeat from those two games and fans will start to take notice.

No one should be winning this Premier League season apart from City. Yet Newcastle is the long shot bet that Arsenal were last season, and Liverpool the season before that.

2023-24 Premier League Prop Bets

Before we unveil our prediction on which team will win the title, check out the following Premier League prop bets:

2023-24 Premier League Best Relegation Bet: Wolves (+225)

Luton Town is the -300 favorite to be immediately relegated back to the English Championship this season. Yet Wolves could join the Hatters in falling into England’s second tier.

Wolves had a great season in 2022-23, finishing 13th under manager Julen Lopetegui. However, financial issues and the departure of their coach on the eve of the season means this club is suddenly in a bit of a mess. New manager Gary O’Neil was sacked  Bournemouth despite keeping them from relegation, but this role could prove a more difficult task.

The Wolves squad is unstable and primarily defense-minded. That will need to change under O’Neil, but he doesn’t have much time to bring in new recruits. The fixture list hasn’t been kind either, with Manchester United, Brighton, Liverpool, and Manchester City to come in the first seven games of the campaign.

2023-24 Premier League Best Top 4 Bet: Chelsea (+150)

If we are to assume City wins the league, then there are just three Champions League places remaining for United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham to fight over. Oh, and Brighton will argue they could push for a top-four finish, too. So, who will miss out and who will make it?

Spurs is unlikely to fare well this season as Harry Kane exits the club. Arsenal has invested heavily, but questions remain over their resilience over the course of the season, plus the Gunners have Champions League football to contend with again. Liverpool looks in a better position than last term, as does United and Newcastle.

Chelsea, though, could be the big movers here. New head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been backed in the transfer market and already has a strong squad to toy with here. He got an average Tottenham side to the Champions League final in 2019, so imagine what he could do with this Blues team. Chelsea is a good bet at +150 to make the top four.

2023-24 Premiere League Champion Prediction: Manchester City -140

It’s not rocket science. Manchester City is the best team in the English Premiere League. They will win the 2023-24 title and make history along the way. Get their -140 odds at decent value before they grow as the season progresses.
