Ester Ledecká enters as the clear favorite to win gold in the women’s parallel giant slalom. Priced at -140, the 30-year-old carries a 58.3% implied probability of capturing her second Olympic title in the event.
The multi-sport athlete, who became the first woman in Winter Olympics history to win a gold medal in skiing and snowboarding, is the one to beat. Ledecká enters in competitive form and appears to be the best by a considerable distance. After winning the gold medal in 2018 and 2022, she still doesn’t have a legitimate challenger.

The Czech star comes into the Winter Games absolutely on fire, riding a six-event winning streak. Most recently, Ester Ledecká cruised past Michelle Dekker of the Netherlands, a dominant performance that followed a semifinal victory over last season’s PGS Crystal Globe winner, Miki Tsubaki.
Tsubaki is clearly Ledecká’s biggest threat, but I don’t expect the Japanese snowboarder to have quite enough to beat her head-to-head. She’s an excellent rider in her own right. However, Ledecká is operating at a different level in women’s parallel giant slalom right now, and that gap will be extremely difficult to close.
Barring a major mistake or a crash, Ledecká is well-positioned to defend her Olympic title in Italy. My projections make her closer to a -225 favorite, so the currently posted -140 on her to win gold in the parallel giant slalom looks like a sharp way to attack the 2026 Winter Olympics snowboarding picks.

Anna Gasser (AUT)

Team Japan’s Kokomo Murase leads a loaded field in the women’s big air event. It’s expected to be an exciting competition between the best big air snowboarders in the world.
Murase and Great Britain’s Mia Brookes are widely projected as the leading contenders for Olympic gold, while Austria’s Anna Gasser faces long odds to defend her title at Milano 2026.
Gasser is listed at +2000 to win women’s big air, giving her just the eighth-best implied chance in the field. The competition keeps getting stronger, and Murase is almost certain to be in the mix in the finals. Still only 21, she already owns an impressive résumé.
Back in 2018, Murase became the youngest rider ever to win X Games gold in big air. Four years later, she added an Olympic bronze at Beijing 2022. Even without a gold medal yet, Murase now appears to be in better form than the riders who finished ahead of her on the podium that year.

Along with Gasser, silver medal winner Zoi Sadowski-Synnot lost a bit of a step. Murase is coming off a win at the 2025 Big Air World Championships in Engadin. Additionally, at the X Games, Murase became the first woman to land a backside triple cork 1620 in a contest, which ultimately led to the gold medal.
With momentum on her side, Murase is one of the best Olympics snowboarding picks to win gold.

The snowboard cross is set to be one of the most exciting events of the Winter Olympics, and all eyes will be on Charlotte Bankes. The 30-year-old Brit is widely expected to claim gold and looks well positioned to leave her rivals behind.
Bankes heads into Milano 2026 in outstanding form after overcoming a broken collarbone suffered in April. She now appears to be back to 100%, and arguably better than ever, at exactly the right time as she chases her first Winter Games medal.
Her recent results back up the hype. In her return to competition last month, Bankes dominated a World Cup race in Dongbeiya, cruising through the quarterfinals and semifinals before finishing ahead of Josie Baff and Chloé Trespeuch in the Big Final.
There are no signs that the injury has had any lingering impact. If Bankes maintains this level heading into the Games, it’s hard to see anyone posing a serious threat to her gold-medal chances.
At +125, Bankes looks like a strong value play in your Milano 2026 snowboard cross betting predictions.
