WWE Money in the Bank Card 2023

As of this writing, there are six matches confirmed for the Money in the Bank PPV at the time of writing. This article is being written before the go-home edition of RAW on June 26th, so the card may change between now and Saturday:

  • Men’s Money in the Bank Match ft. Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. LA Knight vs. Santos Escobar vs. Butch vs. Damian Priest vs. Logan Paul
  • Women’s Money in the Bank Match ft. Zelina Vega vs. Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark vs. Bayley vs. Iyo Sky vs. Trish Stratus
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio (with Rhea Ripley)
  • Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
  • Bloodline Civil War Tag Team Match ft. The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa) (with Paul Heyman) vs. The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso)
  • Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler confirmed they will be defending their new Unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on Friday. That was the sixth match added to the Money in the Bank Event, but I do not think it will be the last.

Matt Riddle is also rumored to challenge Gunther for this Intercontinental Championship. That has not been confirmed yet, but I expect it to be announced before Saturday.

Another interesting note about this weekend’s card is that neither Rhea Ripley nor Asuka will be defending their respective Women’s division titles. Asuka will put her title on the line this Friday against Charlotte Flair.

This definitely draws a lot of star power away from the event. It also makes it unlikely the winner of the Women’s Money in the Bank Match will cash in their briefcase the same day they win it.

Men’s Money in the Bank Match

WrestlerOdds
LA Knight-190
Logan Paul+110
Damian Priest+140
Santos Escobar+2000
Shinsuke Nakamura+2000
Ricochet+2500
Butch+2500

This year’s Men’s Money in the Bank match is noticeably different than many previous installments. There is not a ton of main event-level star power scheduled to compete in the match. Barring any last-minute additions, part-timer Logan Paul (+110) is arguably the biggest draw in the match.

Paul has the second-best odds to claim the briefcase, according to BetUS. The only competitor with better odds is fan-favorite LA Knight (-190). Ricochet (+2500) may have the most viral spot of the match, but I do not think he wins it.

Instead, I think Damian Priest (+140) is the right choice here. A win by Priest would immediately add to the tension between him and Finn Balor, his teammate in the Judgement Day. It would also be a good way for the WWE to reward Priest for his hard work in the last 14 months.

Although LA Knight is poised to climb the proverbial ladder to main event status, I like the value with Damien Priest to climb the real ladder and get the briefcase.

The Bet
Damian Priest

Women’s Money in the Bank Match

WrestlerOdds
IYO SKY-150
Trish Stratus+250
Becky Lynch+330
Bayley+700
Zelina Vega+700
Zoey Stark+1400

The Women’s Money in the Bank Match only features six competitors. IYO SKY (-500) of Damage CTRL is the favorite to win the match this year. Trish Stratus (+250) and Becky Lynch (+300) have the next best odds.

IYO’s teammate, Bayley, has the fourth-best odds at +700. Zelina Vega (+2000) and Zoey Stark (+1400) round out the rest of the field.

Unlike the men’s match, there’s plenty of star power in this women’s MITB match. Lynch would usually be the bet for a big match like this, but I think “The Man” will be too focused on her feud with Stark and Stratus to actually win.

Vega is good for a few spots, but she already had her shot against Rhea Ripley. I do not see her getting another title shot anytime soon.

That leaves the two members of Damage CTRL. If Sky wins, then that will add even more tension to the issues in the faction. The payout odds do not offer a ton of betting value, but I would stick with the favorite here.

The Bet
IYO SKY

Singles Match

BETOdds
Dominik Mysterio+155
Cody Rhodes-220

One of the few matches on the card without long-term implications pits Cody Rhodes (-220) against Dominik Mysterio (+155). Rhodes is a heavy favorite in the latest Money in the Bank betting odds.

Rhodes’ road to a rematch with Roman Reigns faces yet another detour with this short-term feud with Mysterio. I think Rhodes ultimately wins the match, but he will have to overcome interference by Rhea Ripley to do it.

The Bet
Cody Rhodes

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

BETOdds
Finn Balor+275
Seth Rollins-450

Seth Rollins will defend his title against Finn Balor in what should be a solid match between the ropes. Rollins (-450) won the newly created championship at Night of Champions and is a heavy favorite to retain the belt here.

Balor has tried on multiple occasions to injure Rollins before their match this Saturday. It makes for a great story, but I do not think it will be enough. The other members of the Judgement Day will be busy with their own matches, so Balor will likely not have any help.

Also, Seth just won the title, and I think he holds it until at least Summer Slam, if not Survivor Series. Rollins gets the win in what could be the best match of the night.

The Bet
Seth Rollins

Bloodline Civil War Tag Team Match

BETOdds
The Usos+170
The Bloodline-250

In what will likely be the Main Event of the night, the Usos (+170) will challenge the Bloodline (-250) in a tag match. Jimmy and Jey Uso officially left the Bloodline a couple of weeks ago, leading to this match up.

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa have to be the team that loses in this one, with Solo getting pinned once again. Otherwise, the Usos will not be credible threats to Reigns moving forward. Also, a loss on back-to-back PPV events would certainly add to the tension between Reigns and Sikoa.

It will be interesting to see which, if any, additional members of the Bloodline are introduced during this match. If the WWE wants to continue the Bloodline faction, they will need more than just Solo and Reigns as members.

The Usos

Unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

BETOdds
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler-500
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez+300

The latest match to be added to Saturday’s card is for the Unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler officially unified the belts by defeating Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn on SmackDown. The champs (-500) are rightfully favored at the top online betting sites.

Liv Morgan also returned from injury, setting up Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for a chance to win back their belts. As nice as it would be for Morgan and Rodriguez to get back the belts that they never officially lost, I do not see it happening. First and foremost, I doubt Rousey would lose to Morgan in back-to-back Money in the Bank PPVs.

Also, there are rumors that the WWE wants more stars to appear on NXT. Seth Rollins defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on NXT seems to support that theory. Rousey is by far the biggest star in this match, and Baszler had a dominant run during her time in NXT.

The Bet
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler

Intercontinental Championship Match

BETOdds
Matt Riddle+450
Gunther (c)-850

Matt Riddle and Gunther have been building toward a match for the Intercontinental Championship in recent weeks. This match has not been officially announced at the time of writing, but BetUS is allowing you to bet on it anyway. Gunther (-1000) is a sizeable favorite in the latest Money in the Bank betting odds.

The Ring General has been champion for over a year, and I think it is about time for him to move on. There are also rumors that Randy Orton could return after over 400 days away to help Riddle win the match.

It is a long shot, but I do not think Gunther will have the belt for much longer. He needs to move on to competing for main-event belts here soon. A returning Randy Orton could be a great way to have Gunther lose without it hurting his status too much.

The Bet
Matt Riddle
