We’ve got another week of golf to get stuck into and this time the focus switches to LIV Golf New York, which returns to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster for the first time since 2023.
I share my course analysis, which is the leading factor behind my LIV Golf New York best bets! Three players made my squad for this one, so here’s a quick look, before I explore what challenges await the field.

2026 LIV Golf New York Course Analsysis
The course is a par 71 measuring 7,524 yards, and it’s one of the tougher and more complete tests on the LIV schedule. Unlike some of the lower scoring venues we see throughout the season, Bedminster places a greater emphasis on all round ball striking, with players needing to be strong from tee to green if they want to contend.
When building a profile for this course, I’m generally looking for players who have a strong long game, hit plenty of greens in regulation and can back that up with a reliable putter. Bedminster is a venue where quality iron play tends to shine through, and while birdies are still required, it’s not quite the free for all we see at some LIV events. Players need to earn their opportunities here to score well.
One thing I’ve noticed with LIV betting over the last couple of seasons is that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find huge value away from the front of the market. The top players are simply so good, and more often than not they are the ones fighting out the finish.
Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Joaquin Niemann, Tyrell Hatton and Lucas Herbert have consistently separated themselves from the rest of the field, and the reality is that everyone else has to play exceptionally well just to get into the conversation. That’s not ideal from a betting perspective, but it has at least helped me land on a very clear number one selection this week.
For this event, I’ve put together a three-man squad. There is one strong fancy who I believe has an outstanding chance of getting the job done, alongside two smaller stake selections at much bigger prices who I think are capable of significantly outperforming their odds if they bring their best golf.

1. Bryson DeChambeau (+1400)
My number one for LIV Golf New York is home player Bryson DeChambeau, and I think he is really going to rise to the occasion this week. He is obviously long off the tee which is a benefit around this track, and he has become one of the elite golfers on the planet.
His career on LIV has been superb, and he is amongst a small bunch of players that have separated themselves from the field. You see Bryson near the top of leaderboard at nearly all of the LIV events.
He got a lot of stick for missing the cuts in the first three majors this season. I think people looked at that as something that was incredibly poor, but in major championships, there is such a fine line between playing well and playing poorly, and he just got the wrong rub of the greens.
As soon as the media started talking about it, I thought well he’s going to bounce back and play well in the Open and use it as fuel, and he did just that for the most part.
Since then his game has looked in great shape, and I see no reason why he isn’t going to be the one picking up the trophy at the end of the week. This is his time to shine.
2. Thomas Detry (+3400)
Outside of the top 5 in the market, it’s becoming hard to find players with a genuine chance in these field. The players that could outshine their odds are generally the good ball strikers, so Thomas Detry gets a half stake vote this week.
His ball striking is probably his best asset, and if he gets on a roll, he can certainly post a good number around this course. The problem with Detry however, seems to be a couple of things.
He is poor at closing out tournaments, his putting can be very ropey, and his best form only seems to last for a short while during tournaments. In these LIV events though, you need to be relentless with the scoring with the likes of Hatton, DeChambeau, and Jon Rahm in the field, and that is where he has struggled a little.
However, outside of the top bunch, I do give Detry a half chance of going well this week, so he scrapes into the squad at a backable price of +3400.
3. Scott Vincent (+4000)
The final player of the squad this week is Scott Vincent, a player slowly creeping up the rankings, and a player that’s really starting to look comfortable on the golf course in these pro events.
His golf game is really impressive too. He is pretty long off the tee, and quite a flashy sort, so he can go on runs of low scoring. Still, he must eliminate the poor bogeys, which seem to be given away too easily. That seems to be the final thing he needs to brush up on in his game though, and he will be a winner in time.
At the price though, he looks like quite an interesting player this week, and again, outside of the top 5, I do see Scott Vincent as a player capable of going low, and he could get into the place money. There is a little bit of star quality about him, and he makes a bit of appeal at +4000.
