Best Premier League Predictions for Week 10 (With Reasoning)
Here’s a more detailed version of my EPL picks and odds on each, offered by the best soccer betting sites online:
Brighton vs. Brentford: Brighton to Win (-110)
Brighton look well placed to make it five wins from six league games as they welcome Brentford to the Amex. Sitting third with 19 points from nine matches, the Seagulls have been one of the league’s most impressive sides
They have the most prolific attack with 24 goals, but also one of the tightest defenses in the league. Brighton has conceded just seven goals so far and arrive full of confidence after a statement 1–0 victory over Manchester City.
Home advantage makes Brighton even more appealing. They have won every home game this season, averaging four goals scored per match without conceding. That is a formidable record for Brentford to contend with, particularly given their inconsistent start, with just three wins from nine games.
All of them came at home, so Brentford is winless away and unlikely to change that this week. In fairness, they are also unbeaten, sitting on four draws. Still, this is the best team they are about to play away from home.
Brighton also have the recent head to head advantage, winning both meetings last season, 2–1 at home and 2–0 away. With Yarmolyuk suspended, Brentford face an even tougher task, so backing the home side is one of the best EPL picks this week.
Ipswich vs. Bournemouth: Bournemouth to Win (-105)
Bournemouth look worth backing to pick up all three points as they travel to face Ipswich. Sitting eighth with 12 points, the Cherries are three places and a point clear of their opponents. They also have more momentum after winning six in a row in all competitions.
On the other side, Ipswich have struggled badly defensively this season, conceding 18 goals in nine league matches. That works out at around two goals per game, one of the worst records in the division, and gives Bournemouth plenty of reasons to fancy their chances of finding the net.
The Tractor Boys have also lost four of their nine league outings so far. Although narrow defeats to Manchester City (3–2) and Everton (1–0) show they can make life difficult for stronger opposition, their defensive vulnerabilities remain a major concern.
Bournemouth have the opportunity to exploit those weaknesses, and at -105, backing the Cherries to take all three points looks the wager.
Sunderland vs. Chelsea: Estêvão (+265)
Estêvão looks an appealing anytime goalscorer option as Chelsea travel to face Sunderland. The Brazilian youngster has been making the most of his opportunities this season, registering nine Premier League shots, including five on target, in just 134 minutes of action.
That works out at roughly one attempt every 15 minutes, highlighting just how dangerous he can be whenever he gets on the pitch.
Estevao was one of Chelsea’s standout performers in their 2–0 win over Manchester United, playing 87 minutes, earning an 8.1 rating and even having two goals ruled out. He also arrives with confidence after scoring and providing an assist for Brazil against India last month.
Sunderland look vulnerable heading into this one. They sit bottom of the league with just one win from nine matches, have conceded 17 goals and were beaten 3–1 by Coventry last time out.
Given Estêvão’s attacking involvement and Sunderland’s defensive struggles, +265 offers plenty of appeal.
