The DP World Tour heads to Denmark this week for the Danish Golf Championship, which will be staged at Great Northern in Kerteminde. It’s a brand new venue for the tournament, with the players set to tackle a par 72 measuring 7,314 yards, and that brings an added layer of intrigue as nobody in the field has previous tournament experience around the layout, as a professional.
This opens the door for interesting betting opportunities, but before I get to my predictions and best bets for the Danish Golf Championship 2026, let’s talk about the course.
Danish Golf Championship Course Analysis
With this being a new venue, course form goes out of the window and the focus shifts much more towards player profiles and the attributes required to succeed. Looking at Great Northern on paper, I’m generally searching for players who are strong from tee to green, hit a high number of greens in regulation and can back that up with a reliable putter.
The course has enough length to test the field, but quality iron play and good decision making should prove just as important as power, especially with so much water.
As you would expect, the home players are likely to attract plenty of attention. Rasmus Hojgaard looks to have an excellent chance and is undoubtedly one of the players to beat, while Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen continues to enhance his reputation and has all the tools required to contend on home soil too.
Further down the market, Lucas Bjerregaard is an interesting outsider. He has plenty of experience, knows how to win at this level, and could easily outperform his odds if he can rediscover some of his best golf.
I was also very tempted by Jacob Skov Olesen, who looks the type of player that could thrive at a course like this. However, if you’ve followed my golf betting this season, you’ll know he’s cost us enough already, so I’ve decided not to put ourselves through that again this week.
For this event, I’ve put together a three-man squad. There is one standout selection who I think has a huge chance of getting the job done, alongside two smaller stake plays at bigger prices who I believe offer plenty of value if they can bring their best golf.

1. Rasmus Hojgaard (+1400)
Rasmus Hojgaard is likely to be one of the most popular selections this week, and it’s easy to see why. The Dane is already a multiple-time DP World Tour winner and arrives at his home open with a game that looks well suited to Great Northern.
He has a strong all-round profile, combining plenty of length off the tee with quality iron play. If this turns into a ball-striking contest, which I think it will be, then that should play right into his hands. The home support is another obvious positive, and he has already shown he thrives in this event, having won the Danish Golf Championship in 2023 before finishing runner-up last year, at different venues.
There have been a few quieter spells this season, but the ability is unquestionable and his ceiling remains one of the highest in the field. If the putter behaves, Rasmus Hojgaard has all the tools required to be right in the mix once again and looks one of the most likely winners this week. A win only bet for me at the prices, but I am adamant this is going to be a big week for the home player.
2. Dan Bradbury (+7000)
Dan Bradbury is another player I like this week, particularly because his best golf tends to come on courses where quality ball striking is rewarded. He has been a little hit and miss this season, but when he does find his game, he is a really solid all-rounder and has shown he can compete at this level.
Bradbury is already a three-time DP World Tour winner, so there is no question about his ability to get the job done when everything clicks. Great Northern looks like the sort of course where I can see his strengths coming to the fore, particularly if good tee-to-green play proves the key to scoring well, which it should.
His recent form this year isn’t overly consistent, but I’m happy to overlook that slightly because I think the course setup suits him very well. If he turns up with his A-game, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him significantly outrun his odds. 50/1 seems too big to me.
3. Wenyi Ding (+6500)
Wenyi Ding is another player I like at a decent price, and his profile fits what I’m looking for this week. He has already shown plenty of ability, winning the Boao Classic on the China Tour, and he has continued to show flashes of that quality since turning professional and joining the DP World Tour
His 2026 form has been a little hit and miss, but there have been enough positives to suggest the game is there, and his better form comes on similar courses. He has a good all-round profile, and with Great Northern looking like a course where quality ball striking and solid tee-to-green play should be rewarded, I think the setup could suit him nicely.
He is another who looks a good price for the level of ability he holds, and I think Wenyi Ding is well worth a smaller stakes play. He could easily outperform his price if he puts four rounds together. Like Dan Bradbury, the odds seem too big for a player with this much talent on a well-suited course, and Ding is a winner in waiting for sure.
