2026 DP India Championship Preview and Best Bets – by Ginger Joe

This week on the DP World Tour, we head to New Delhi for the DP India Championship, taking place at Delhi Golf Club. The course is a par 72 measuring around 6,912 yards, so relatively short by modern standards, but the narrow, tree-lined fairways make it a much trickier test than the yardage suggests.

We have a brilliant field assembled, with Rory McIlroy and defending champion Tommy Fleetwood leading the way. Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, Shane Lowry, Ryan Fox and Aaron Rai are among the other big names in what should be a very competitive week of golf.

But what are the best bets to win the DP India Championship in 2026? Here’s a quick glance at my squad, before I analyze the course and provide more info about my best bets!

DP India Championship Course Analysis

This is a course where accuracy, scrambling and putting could be particularly important. You don’t necessarily need to overpower the course, but you do need to keep the ball in play and make the most of your scoring opportunities.

Good course management and a strong short game could make all the difference. With last year’s winner Fleetwood reaching 22 under par, there should be chances to go low. That’s why I’m looking for players who can combine control off the tee with quality iron play and a reliable putter. Previous course form is worth considering, too, although we only have one edition to go on.

Let’s get into my three-man squad for the week. As always, make sure you sign up to The Sports Geek completely free for more of my golf previews, tips and analysis throughout the season.

1. Casey Jarvis (+3500)

Casey Jarvis is one I like at a decent price this week. Outside of the main protagonists at the top of the market, I think he is one of the players capable of shooting the sort of numbers required to win at Delhi Golf Club.

He’s already shown this season that he has the game to compete at the highest level, picking up victories at the Magical Kenya Open and South African Open before adding a runner-up finish at the Joburg Open.

He’s also finished sixth at The Open Championship and most recently came agonisingly close to another win, finishing second at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. That’s a pretty impressive body of work for a player who is still only 22.

What I like about Jarvis is that he has already shown he can go seriously low when his game clicks. He won in Kenya at 25-under-par and has produced plenty of big numbers throughout the season, which is exactly what you want when looking at a course where scoring opportunities should be there for the taking amongst world class players.

Delhi Golf Club is a tighter test than the yardage might suggest, so he’ll need to keep the ball in play and manage his way around the course. However, I don’t think this is a venue where you necessarily need to overpower the field.

If Jarvis can find enough fairways, give himself chances and get the putter working, I think he has the firepower to get right into contention. The obvious concern is that this is a very strong field, with Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and several other proven winners in attendance. On the bright side, that’s reflected in the market, and I’m interested in looking beyond those at the head of the betting for someone with genuine winning potential.

Jarvis has already proved he can win multiple times on tour this season, and his recent form suggests he is arriving in good shape. At the right price, I think he makes plenty of appeal as an alternative to the obvious contenders.

He’s not a player to overlook this week. I genuinely believe Casey Jarvis is capable of shooting the numbers needed to win this tournament, and at a decent price, I’m happy to have him onside.

2. Thriston Lawrence (+5000)

Thriston Lawrence is another player I really like at the prices this week. His record on courses that reward accuracy, a good short game and smart course management is hard to ignore. Lawrence looks a serious threat away from the main market contenders.

He finished third here last year, so we already know he can handle Delhi Golf Club. His recent 13th place in Spain was encouraging too, particularly his scrambling, and he arrives with plenty of confidence after winning the Omega European Masters for a third time in September.

Lawrence has repeatedly shown he can go low and get the job done, while his course record gives him another reason to appeal. If he can carry that form into this week, I think he has every chance of getting himself into contention again. Just like Casey Jarvis, but Lawrence hits a consistent fade, and I like that gameplan at this course.

3. Brandon Robinson-Thompson (+30000)

At +30000, Brandon Robinson-Thompson is an interesting outsider who I think could surprise a few this week. He finished T15 here last year, so we already know he can handle Delhi Golf Club, and I’m encouraged by how well his irons have been working recently.

This is the type of course where I think he can make up ground on some of the bigger names. You don’t necessarily need to overpower Delhi, and if he continues to strike the ball well and takes advantage of the scoring opportunities, I can see him putting together a competitive week.

Obviously, +30000 is a big price for a reason, and he’ll need to put four solid rounds together to get anywhere near the top of the leaderboard. But with previous course form and some encouraging signs with his approach play, I think there’s enough to make him an interesting longshot.

At +30000, he’s one I wouldn’t be surprised to see outrun his odds, and he is a player that pops up out of nowhere from time to time. He is a decent fit this week.
